Thank you, @SuiDhaaga! That post was written mostly tongue-in-cheek as a response to @Hopikrishnan. .
Ooh! That's intimidating! I'm too chicken to make trouble in this section. Thank you, @Viswamitra! .
Dear Viji, thank you for nominating this beautiful snippet by @RatnaMalliswari. Without the nomination, I would have surely missed reading it. @RatnaMalliswari has neatly summarized how nature's little lessons apply to our lives. I myself have started some new indoor and outdoor plants during the pandemic. It was fascinating to see how the weeds grow through the cracks in the cement or through weed-barrier-fabric. "Making small changes gives us big results." Very true. Identifying small changes and then applying them regularly leads to sizeable improvements. My little trick with new changes or habits when they are still new is to not miss two days in a row.
Thank you for the nomination Laks. Apt quote to mark Amica's arrival. I used to find songs in YouTube to mark the flying visit occasions. : ) Nicholas Sparks said it well: "Sometimes you have to be apart from the people you love, but that doesn't make you love them any less. Sometimes you love them more." Sometimes I wonder if the "Relationship with in-laws" forum threads would be different if international calls still cost 70 cents per minute in the weekend and over a dollar in prime time. : )
Sui, this is another post that I would have missed if not for your nomination. And what a shame that'd have been. I am not actively looking for friends currently but found myself making many a mental note from the post. I was mostly nodding except a few things. A fine compilation by @Amica. Now the ball is in @Hopikrishnan's court.
Hi Rihana Mam, It is very thoughtful of you to appreciate my efforts and including my name in nomination. I am humbled by your appreciation for my work. Thank you Rihana and Viji Mam. Regards Ratna
I noticed the post by @iyerviji in the Love vs Arranged thread recommending @Amica 's procedure: Look for a a good match to love, and if it doesn't work out, for whatever reason, settle for chullible.
My pyari Rihana My next nomination is @Hopikrishnan's Post in reply to my feedback in @anika987's thread Love Marriage Vs Arranged Marriage..
I remember this well. You always made my day with those songs! Quite an observation! All our problems have been caused by so-called progress. Communication is too cheap. Travel is too easy. The world is getting too small and there is no escape from interfering family. .
