Recently I noticed "Rihana likes this" on one of my responses. I valued that "like" because the one who liked is a character of some analytical bent and demonstrated intelligence/savvy in many aspects of how to conduct oneself as well as make choices for a happy life.

Unfortunately, on a personal level, not a smidgen of that member's counsel can improve my own life, or those of my very growed up children, because it is too darn late. However, it is nice to see that there are so many on the forum who can actually benefit from the counsel.

When you see "like" clicks on your posts/responses, how do you feel ?
does it matter who clicked the like ?
Whose:blush: like would you like to have on your post ? Do you have any tricks/hints/techniques to get it ?

Wish IL paid me(some amount) for every like I receive . I wish !
Does not matter if it is V or S or R..

But yeah as you have mentioned I do value a like . no bias but anyone for that matter :)

If you are part of a thread like "75 hard challenge", "100 days of positivity" etc - you form a friends gang there . so every like you receive is like your "friends" cheering you . Say for eg: in 75 hard challenge I post my update and I get likes from my fellow friends who are with me in the challenge I feel like them saying "Go go go, you got this".
Threads where you share your life experiences in your reply and you receive a like - yes it holds a value , after all someone is there "hearing" you out :)
No tricks . ha ha . But I did find this kwestin funny .

:hello:Hello I like this post. Everyone likes others’ liking their notes or responses. After posting, the poster longing to get as many likes as possible. Every additional lime known vis d mail and alerts is like elixir to do more. It is encouraging.

Some grant like to a post or feedback, because it is content or and it is from regular follower. It could be from new follower.

A like granted by a veteran is most cherished in terms of value. It is like a rare applause or standing ovation.

Some “likes” seem inappropriate. A post of plight, lament and grievance or about abuse by spouse or PILs ridicules the But then many fellow members grant Like which is to be taken only that they had noted the “ post”.

Some likes are granted as an acknowledgement of their having viewed your post.

Some likes are genuine but the liver has no time or and mood to respond. Some are shy to respond worried or apprehensive about their grammar.

Absence of like from regular followers at times cause concern.

Sometimes a like is not clicked but replied - hitting the bulls eye - and the recipient “LIKE” it much.

Some use the LIKE button to convey that they are still kicking!

Many times I have noticed that a reply without clicking the like from veterans.

A like with reply from a veteran senior most by age and by period of membership is always regarded and valued highest.

A like with or without reply from highly informed and knowledgeable members are always valued high with lots of reverence and respect.

Lazy likes adds in aggregate on the name banner.

I find many members get huge likes with minimum effort, simple texts, posts on in-things . Effortless likes & responses earned by providing simple subject for easy discussion , jokes and puzzles helps to increase followers.

A few members laments the absence of “dislike” button.

Overall every LIKE gets clicked tantamount to an intellectual Reward!

My feedback response at #3 above was made around the time sleep was embracing me which is evident with so many words missing or and misspelt .
An errata added hereunder is in order:

.... Every additional like known via the “e-mail & alerts” is akin to an elixir to do more. It is encouraging.
... PILs ridicule the common sense.

    The idea by @Anusha2917 *
of cash compensation by website owners for every Like earned is commendable but if and when implemented it would lead to corruption and adverse criticism leading to disrepute the website.

*I happen to read in “ complaint board” criticisms by disgruntled members (who seemed to unaware or totally ignorant of terms and conditions to which they had agreed ) which remain unanswered & undefended till date.
