@iyerviji Thank you for your third nomination of What Is Sacrifice? so nicely presented by @@jayasala42 Honestly, the erudition of jayasala never fails to amaze me. She is a living encyclopedia of our family. I have learned quite a few things in this post too.
@iyerviji Thank you for your fourth nomination of Organs Under Fire by @Thyagarajan I liked Thyagu's subsequent response This bilingual narration is rather unique. Reminds me of the famous actor of the past, Maj.Sundararajan. He used to have this singular habit of saying things first in English and giving it's Tamil version subsequently!
@iyerviji Thank you for your fifth nomination of Vanaprasthashram by @PushpavalliSrinivasan PS, being one of our senior most members both by age and duration of her membership in IL, never fails to amaze me with her creativity. Her terrace garden, love of music, narrating skills in a catchy way are all her assets. Her concluding sentence says it all!
I am flattered!. I think IL helped me to improve my communication skills. I admire all great writters here. Still struggling with my language and writing. If OP or anyone else, find any point useful, I think the purpose is served. Thanks @Cheeniya Sir for your encouraging words.
@Rihana Thank you for your first nomination of a response by @NOW in the thread How To Be Emotionally Strong? How To Improve Eq? NOW has indeed bared her heart in this response. I was deeply impressed by her first remark itself: That everybody has a different kind of struggle is the real essence of every life on earth, not merely human life.
@Rihana Thank you for your second nomination of Change! by @Srama I am afraid I may get a bit repetitive when I start reviewing Sabi's posts in IL. That is a problem when one has a limited vocabulary. It is even more so when she is in communion with Nature. So for a change, I pick up a line from her narrative at random: Such profundity!
@Rihana Since both your nominations are from the same thread, I will respond to the posts of @Gauri03 and @Srama together in the thread The ‘75 Hard’ Challenge Gauri has started this thread in the Section Keep Fit and Maintain Shape. Who wouldn't be interested in it, particularly when it is packed in a 75 Hard Challenge? In just around three weeks, this thread has run into the tenth page! Srama is more fitness crazy than any of you can imagine. If you have any doubt, read her regular responses in this thread! And look at what she reads, The Mystery of the Periodic Table! Need I say anything more about the capability of these two ladies to get our attention riveted on whatever they write!
@Rihana Thank you for your nomination of How Many Of You Have Developed An "accent" ? by @anika987 A very interesting question raised by her there! I have seen both extremes. I have a niece who has lived in US for over 25 years. Her English is quite Indian, but her Tamil accent has changed so much that whenever she speeks in Tamil we ask her to translate it into English!
@Rihana Thank you for your nomination of Life a poem by @Mistt Mistt, a daughter figure for me, is one of IL's fierce followers! She has been posting breathtaking photographs and has a great repertoire of jokes. I see her here as a poet. The concluding para is very impressive as you will see:
