    @Tamrakshar,

    Great suggestions from everyone. You are against killing the bird and your wife wants to kill the bird as the bird is destroying the plants she is growing with love. There is a solution that can be used without hurting the bird. Have you tried Stop Bird Pro, a device that emits modulated high frequencies. It acts on the nervous system of the birds to repel them from reaching out to the territory which you would like defend. I understand it works to the range of 500 sq.ft. and I am sure it would work well to prevent the birds reaching out to your windowsill. I am rushing this suggestion to reach out to you within 30 days given to you to solve this problem. :)

    Thanks Viswamitra ji for the good suggestion. However, I think this device is more suitable for the farmers who grow fruits or crops. I am a nature lover and I love birds. Especially, some Indian maynahs are my very good friends. Whenever I sing or whistle, they join me from outside the window. So, I don't want to repel all birds.

    You say that you the pigeons have ruined 10 pots. So why don't you let it lay eggs on one pot? Let it lay eggs on one pot and your prob will be solved.

    Thanks, Riverstream for your suggestion. Yes, numerically 1<10, but when you take the sentiments of losing a lovely plant into consideration, the logic becomes obfuscated. Fortunately for us, the problem seems to be over at the cost of only Rs 400. 10 simple elastic cords have been placed horizontally covering the entire railing of the two adjacent windows, thereby narrowing the gap for those two fat, little niggas to enter without risking their lives. This has settled the issue.
