:hello: How do I live healthy & long? :hello:
Doctor, I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life. Is this true?

A: Heart only good for so many beats, and that's it... Don't waste time on exercise. Everything wear out eventually. Speeding up heart not make you live longer; its like saying you extend life of a car by driving faster. Want to live longer?
    Take nap.
Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake?
A: Oh no. Wine made from fruit. Fruit very good. Brandy distilled wine, that means they take water out of fruity bit so you get even more of goodness that way. Beer also made of grain. Grain good too.

Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program?
A: Can't think of one, sorry.
    My philosophy: No pain...good!
Q: Aren't fried foods bad for you?
A: YOU NOT LISTENING! Food fried in vegetable oil.
How getting more vegetable be bad?
Q: Is chocolate bad for me?
A: You crazy? Hello Cocoa bean! Another vegetable!
    It best feel-good food around!
Q: Is swimming good for your figure?
A: If swimming good for figure, then explain whale to me.
Q: Is getting in shape important for my lifestyle?
A: Hey! 'Round' is also a shape!
Well... I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had about food and diets.
And remember- Look mister - Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Beer in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO, what a ride my life was"! Eat whatever you like because you will still DIE, don't allow motivational speakers deceive you.

The inventor of the treadmill had died at the age of 54
The inventor of gymnastics died at the age of 57
The world bodybuilding champion died at the age of 41
The best footballer in the world Maradona, died at the age of 60.
    BUT
The KFC inventor died at 94.
Inventor of Nutella brand died at the age of 88
Imagine, cigarette maker Winston died at the age of 102
The inventor of opium died at the age of 116 in an earthquake
    Hennessey inventor dies at 98.

This being so, I wonder how did these modern doctors come to the conclusion that exercise prolongs life?

The rabbit is always jumping up and down but it lives for only 2 years and the turtle that doesn’t exercise at all, lives 400 years.

So, Take some rest, Chill, Stay cool, eat, drink and enjoy your life. You will stay long fit in health!

Do you follow the same despite of health conditions?

Some of the things you have mentioned to me seem like comparing apples and oranges.

Whales and humans have different physiology. The same health standards do not apply to all. The same goes for rabbits and tortoises.

Not every chocolate has health benefits. Only small amounts of high-quality dark chocolate with at least 70% cocoa might give your heart some benefit, and it generally has less sugar and saturated fat than milk chocolate or other kinds of chocolate.
Dark chocolate: Health benefits, nutrition, and how much to eat

Generally speaking, fried foods are significantly higher in fat and calories than their non-fried counterparts.

The Department of Health and Human Services, CDC and other research institute says people with healthy eating patterns and exercise live longer and are at lower risk for serious health problems or delaying age-related health problems such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity, and other issues.

I second @Flyhigher . Many of the facts of original post are wrong or misleading and more over encouraging to practice unhealthy lifestyles. I hope it is not written by OP.

    Dear @Flyhigher & @Angela123
I happen to talk to a man who is seen to look at the half filled tumblers and optimistic. He has got always points to join the opposite side in debates and some of his points are valid and make listeners spellbound. I agree that the post is not entirely my creation and the facts unverified.
The entire post in a jocular vain and concoction & I wish I posted this in the forum for joke or added to my existing “ Pay In The Opposite Coin”. @Angela123 - your guess is right.

Exercise and frugal eating for long life makes me brood about late Sir Rajaji & his political opponent late Thanthai Periyar. Both lived in tropical part of India. The former was theist, fragile figure, practised frugal eating and orthodox in his practices and a strict vegetarian. He lived for 99+. He never seemed to have followed any exercise regimen. The latter was stout and heavy, strict non veg and atheist and not used to devote time for exercise. He in his 98+ sat over an hour without backrest by side of body of Rajaji and exactly a year later he - Periyar- too expired. These two examples could be an exception.

My dad never exercised as it is known today and he enjoyed food at leisure with extreme requirement of salt and sugar till he expired at 99 y 9 m. I too follow my dad. I am fit yet a fragile fig. Weighing kg 60+ at 78+. Could be now due to my sharing household duties like sharing cleaning cooking and serve in lieu of maid & cook when they are laid off as in pandemic.

Thanks to both of you for being vigilante as ever.
