I had taken once every couple of hour photos of the deloid muscle in the left upper arm where the injection went in (B-Pfizer shot 1). Easy to do when you are always fiddling with your smart phone. After about six hours there was a red welt around the tiny plaster and pain the muscle. It went away the next day.
However, there was itch on the back the next day that lasted a whole day, and I had to use a bamboo back scratcher to scratch it. A photo of that showed reddish scratch marks !! Now it has been a few days, and all is well.

Take photos after the 2nd shot. Don't fear the 2nd shot. You had already released the RNA into your body, and the booster isn't going to do anything new.

Take the available one. The lady of the home should consider herself "essential" and get the protection right away. Covishield has less government intervention/input than Covaxin. And covaxin is totally old technology -- based on whole dead virus. Neither one is an absolute protection against infections from all variants; however both are good in keeping you out of needing hospital care. At worst, you'd end up with a severe cold, sore throat and headache, and still manage your family and job. Covaxin vs Covishield - A Detailed Comparison - PharmEasy Blog

When someone is infected with Corona virus, and suffer with whatever level of symptoms, and recover, they would have the antibodies to fight the virus for quite a long time. These antibodies would be true fighters, and not pseudo-anti created by vaccines. Vaccines introduce virus-parts, or dead virus into our bodies, and have our white blood cells work on creating antibodies to fight these. These antibody fighters are not fighting the real-live replicating viruses, like a sick person would actually produce, IF THEY CAN. This is the reason why a "got-sick-and-recovered proof" is just as good or better than a "vaccination certificate".

A recent study in Nature explains this in different verbiage, with a nice picture: Had COVID? You’ll probably make antibodies for a lifetime

We often think about "what to take to India".... how about...

When somethings are difficult to get in India, that is the gift the NRI relatives would get for the family when they visit. And there are subdivisions in Hyd-Sec'd cities where every family has sent off a son or daughter to live in North America. I am sure a few other Indian Metro's have the same situation. What if all bring a few vials of Janssen (JNJ) vaccine for their families. You can get disposable syringes in local pharmacies.... or bring these also from walgreens/cvs/boots. These syringes are the usual diabetes supplies and pretty cheap. Diabetics also travel with insulins in styrofoam/icepacks when they go on vacations -- and some of these vaccine vials have similar storage/transport conditions.

Well... that can happen only when travel restrictions lift between India and countries where there is an excess of vaccines.

This youtube video shows how the RT-PCR test is done. I have watched both of these, and it is best to watch them in the sequence linked here... enjoy. Watch with kids, if you can get them to.

However, if you want it in a desi accent, I would recommend Shomu's biology videos. He is an enthu-cutlet and likely gets across only to those who can enjoy his accent.

Here is another interesting educational video.... Those that had been infected with the SARS virus in 2003 and recovered, seem to have a memory of that in their virus killing immunity. This is good news for those who had been infected and recovered from the SARS CoV-2 (Covid-19) affliction.
