I feel like my showerhead in USA is not good enough.. Even after shower I feel my hair has shampoo and I noticed if I brush my son's teeth in the shower and wash the toothbrush under the shower it is still soapy when it dries up. I am starting to lose confidence in these showers in the US. During lockdown I've tried several showerheads (wasting my time and money) but some don't have water coming out of center, some have very narrow water sprays coming out.. I know I'm thinking too much but shouldn't a toothbrush be clean once washed in shower? Please if anyone has a showerhead which can wash a toothbrush properly in shower give me the brand and model. Of course if I rub the toothbrush vigourously with hand it will come out but I want something which doesn't require THAT MUCH effort to wash a simple toothbrush.. I mean I cannot do that to every part of my hair!

The problem is not the showerhead it is the water pressure in your house, check out this video

Is it just your shower or the whole house? You need to find out that first.

If it is just your shower a simple fix is to try removing the flow restrictor from your shower head and see changes.

If the above does not works First, check your house water pressure. You can do this by calling your HOA. Most HOA will do this for their homeowners as they will have the water pressure test gauge tool. In case if they don't do it you can buy one from Lowe's or home depot or a local hardware store for less than 20$. Here is the link. Attach this to your outdoor faucet and check the PSI reading. It should read between 40-80 PSI based on city code.

If it is low check are you sharing the same water source line with your neighbor or check with your HOA/COA.

Next check with your water supply company that did their code changed recently.

Check your main water inlet valve and valve, water pressure regulator if you have one near the water meter.

Before installing a water pressure booster you need to check your local county or state code. In my county, if you are connected to the community/municipal water system, boosters are not allowed unless if we are directly connected to a well or own private water source. Please check your city code. Also, you need to be very careful if you are installing one as these systems are expensive on top of that installation cost. It creates added pressure on the plumbing system and appliances in your home. Get it done with an experienced professional in a way. If this is not installed correctly it may flood the house.

Thank you! I will try the flow restrictor video. But also I have a delta showerhead.. I noticed that the center does not give water.. only on the circumference does. So if my mistake we're putting our body or toothbrush in the center it does not get clean (but we think we are putting it under water since we really dont' pay so close attention). I don't understand how I never noticed.. but anyways i need to fix it.. What all showerhead models do you use and which ones are you satisfied with? Don't know how delta passed testing and how its in the market after I noticed this.

If you are still under warranty or if you know the model and part number or copy of the purchase receipt you can contact the manufacturer(Delta). They will send the new one most cases.

We have this and similar ones from Moen, and American standard.

It's advised not to brush in the shower due to hygiene issues as well as we use more water, because few like to keep the shower on and brush.
