Isn't May the hottest month of the year ? Or is it July ?

Ventilation is often talked about as a GOOD THING to have. The mechanism of the virus multiplying requires a "live" cell, and dead cells cannot do that. You are safe from Chicken and Fish from across the arterial road. If you can afford to keep the sliding window open (AC on or off?) go ahead and help yourself with some "fresh" air. You would be blessed with only the regular purity of the usual air.

Thanks for the clarification. Between dead and live cell.
The Agni natchathiram a period of very hot days and nights! - this has begun five or six days ago. Entire May is hot in chennai. Some respite if unusual rain happens.

World Health Org. has to come out and clarify* that alcohol cannot disinfect the innards, like it can do for the hands, and protect the inside from the corona virus. And besides, if there are people who drink a bit everyday, an aperitif perhaps, it becomes a thing like the morning coffee or chai. When not available all of a sudden, withdrawal symptoms can happen. How serious may depend on how long has that practice been going on.
Don't grocery stores sell wine and beer, and Tasmac only sells hard liquors ? *A while back when there was run on hand-sanitizers, recipes for converting vodka into hand-sanitizers were on the net. None of them are effective hand-sanitizers.

Thanks. But atleast half of the crowd infront of Tasmaac are not alcohol consumers. They sell it in black in street corners. Their business commence as soon as dusk set in. In TN Groceries stores legally can not sell wine & beer.

    Few this about covid infection:

    1. There is very very little information about covid happing with means other than breathing droplets having virus.

    2. We cannot deny that it can happen via say touching infected surfaces.

    3. Cooked food seems to be fine. Handling packaging which may be contaminated is an unknown risk. Research suggests it is not a major risk BUT it can not be ruled out totally. So, if you get food from outside (cooked), transfer it to your own utensils ASAP without delay and throw the packaging after wrapping it in news paper or plastic so no one can touch it.

    4. Do contactless delivery.

    To add on this

Recently I came to know about a case where one lady had fever probably covid and took the proper medicines for that. After 4 days she felt good, didn't get any fever or any other problem. She stopped taking the medicines and joined her work back again. In another 4 days she again got the fever and is now in critical condition.

A request to all to take proper care and do take the full course of medicines. Don't leave your treatment in between, it could be dangerous.

In one more case there was a family of 5. A man with his wife son and parents. Parents are old and are dealing with many other diseases. But they had their first dose of vaccine. All of them caught the covid infection. They were not able to decide what to do and how to manage the situation. Their daughter send the cooked food to them for few days via swiggy. But she couldn't do more than that. The Man had much of anxiety issues and told many times to admit him to the hospital. But there was nothing available so not able to do so. But slowly with frequent talks with various people he controlled his anxiety and now all of them are doing good.

Nice thought, @messedup, to start this positivity thread - these stories of recovery do not get shared enough, to give much needed hope in these trying times..

Thanks dear. I too do not know many success stories. On daily basis we are getting the sad news from everyone around us. Be it in extended family, friends or neighborhood. I first wanted to share those as they are there in my head all the time. But then on second thought I felt that I should share what I want to see. That's why started this thread. More stories from other people will give me the strength too. If you know any please do share it.

Just pray for this to end soon.
