The fascination with public funeral pyres is a thing I explained away by asking how exciting would a Narcar event be if there isn't even one flaming wreck ?

If people paying $100 tickets cannot see one, would they come back and buy another event ticket ? What if hundred cars pile up in a giant conflagration ? The TV channels that bid to win the broadcasting rights to such races, bid big money in the hope that there'd be such excitement. There is no doubt that he must be spending hours before the mirror after every time he changes his dress, which at rough calculation is ten times a day and is a part of 18 hours a day he works for the country. He is surrounded by sycophants.

It is really unfortunate situation. Now the BJP machine is comparing the statistics with other countries to justify that things are not that bad as being propagated by foreign media. Some see hands of foreign powers to destabilize the country, adversely affect the 2022 election in UP and 2024 national election.
It is pity that a fellow his hiding his lamed leg and making fun of other lamed person.

IPL cricket series are going on in India, some players have been tested positive of covid. The irony they are continuing with the matches because people need some entertainment in these difficult times.

Now we have our wonderful defence minister declaring that recital of Ramayana would drive COVID 19 away. I shiver for the defence of the country. Tomorrow if Pakistan or China invade India he might say recital of Mahabharata would drive them away.
