Nothing wrong being average in life.

However..sometimes when I see overachievers in life..it makes me think differently.

Lot of people despite their wrong environment had the fire in them to win and they made it in life.

There are people who have achieved tremendously in various fields.

However..I strongly believe everyone in this world has potential.
Potential to get that money, fame, recognition.

Some choose to pursue it and some are fine where they are.

For eg..there are lot of people who are very talented in dancing or studies but not everyone chooses to teach or make it big in the arts field or not everyone decided to join IIM.

Just coz some people did not make it in accordance to society terms..how can one decide others in terms or superior or inferior.

It is very sad when people judge others that he or she is stupid, clazy, this and that and people get trapped in some sort of a psychological drama about what they can and they cannot do.

With due respect..Sundar pichai is amazing and humble.However..am sure there should be lot of people with the same talent and intelligence as him.

same with any field. There are many talented and beautiful women and men who could have been superstars in film industry but people do not choose to go to that field.

People can dance superbly but they just pursue their talents just for fun.

    So why does this happen?

All the people who made it big in any field...are they extremely passionate? Are they emotionally stronger?

and all the people including me who decided to stay within their limits and happy where they are..are they wasting away not exploring their full potential?

more than acheiving success..what I want to know is..should everyone push themselves with their talent?

for eg:someone maybe very good in drawing..but do they "have to" explore it to their full potential and earn money/fame etc or they can be okay using it for their personal hobby.

Am sure if everyone strives and work crazy hard in IT field..they will be more than what they are today.

Somehow..people stop after a level of contentment.

Not everyone wants to be famous or earn more money.that does not mean their talents are way less than the ones who made it.

somehow..society judges with proof and people subconsciously feel low without realizing their talents.

somewhere down the lane..think about it.."suppose the beggar on the street given he right environment or education..he might be extraordinary"..

I strongly believe everyone is talented and has potential their own way. What bothers me is the society norms of success and is someone does not fall into that..they are deemed average or failure.Even failures and successes and average are subjective in a way.

"what is the level of success?" "who is a successful person?"

Maybe this is what my question should have been.I phrased it wrong:)

Successful people ,they are focused and they.know where to focus.Others by the time they focus success might have reached in someone else's life :). Successful people know what they want and know how to achieve it and work tirelessly .They dont fear failures.

I think awareness is the key...some are ahead of the curve, some are late to realize and some are in-between.

Success in my mind differs from person to person..

For my friend..owing the best brands is her success:)

For my aunt..being at the peak of her career is success:)

For my well wisher..cooking that tough dish is her success:)

For me..nailing that advanced yoga pose is success like scorpian pose:) I do not look in awe at some scientist but I am in awe of a yoga instructor.each one to their own I guess.

Society defines success in terms of ..

looks, money, status, vacations and the amount of parties you have.

Many are falling a prey to the society norms.nothing wrong with the above but somehow judging someone inferior or superior based on certain norms may not be right.

Never ever look at a person and think, "this person is unsuccessful", because we never know what success means to that person.

When you are happy with yourself! When you know that you are a better person today than you were yesterday! When you know that you are living a fulfilling life!

Success is not measured in terms of money only!

    It's all luck!!

You are lucky to be here, you are lucky to be born. Understand that you can't truly take credit for your successes, nor truly blame others for their failures .....

Yes, nothing wrong with being average in life. Nothing wrong in settling for what comes naturally / easily and not aspiring for more.

Wrong is when people take their internal feelings of guilt about being content with their averageness and say that society is making them feel that way.

There is a saying: You don't have to attend every argument you are invited to.
Similarly, you don't have to attend every comparison you are invited to.

Generally speaking, people are too interested in themselves, their accomplishments and their struggles to think so much about the failures of others. They might envy another person's success but I doubt many like to spend time labeling others as average or failure.

Add another question to those two. : ) "Are successful people content?"
