I am here to nominate @Flyhigher's response Mother In Law Wants To Come To Us To Babysit!. She covered everything that could expose a family that allows a MIL to fly in from India to babysit other children. She was very brief in her response but covered every point that needs to be considered before such decisions are made. Invaluable post.
