Is there a forum to discuss what ladies do to cope with periods. I have two kids but even though they are a pain I've been able to manage.. but nowadays I'm not able to manage. Just the thought of when my period is going to come is making me super anxious and even the thought my daughter is going to reach the age is making me lose sleep. Not sure what i'm doing differently but periods are not managebale nowadays .. it would be nice to have a nice discussion with someone .. friends are there but here I will not be influencing people the wrong way.. ;problem with friends is if I say I have an issue one month later they say they have the same issue and start crying... that is the reason I want to ask here.

If this is a recent phenomenon, meet your doctor - check for thyroid, BP

To be able to suggest anything, you can share your details - age, how many days, what exactly is not manageable, how were you managing before, is it a lifestyle change due to covid, is it due to period products, or is the change in the flow itself?

Is there physical changes in your body? or your coping mechanism is suffering due to other stresses in life?

You should see your gyn for a checkup.

I've always used always overnight pads and used to work and sleeping sideways... but this time even though it was light I had an accident because of sleeping sideways "it " dripped to where there was no coverage and had a huge mess.. Just can't figure out how I managed before. I mean if your sleeping sideways the pad might not be touching u so it is natural to drip.. but i can't figure out how I managed with super duper heavy periods following this method,.. If next month is heavy as it usually is I will have a disaster... trying to figure it out... before something worse happens..

Just want to get some insights.. on how to manage. I do have super heavy periods after this delivery but somehow was able to cope.. Looking for suggestions and it would be nice if there is a forum or something.. to discuss openly Of course this is a ladies forum but still

    OP,
Discussion won't help much. I faced similar issues and accidents. It was so heavy to manage even after changing nighttime pads for extraheavy flow every two to three hours ( example : check this ). I consulted OBY and she prescribed birth control pills as I didn't have any other issues like endometriosis. First pill didn't help. So tried another one. It really helped. I took it for almost eight months till it became normal. I also take slow release iron tablets as I was anemic that time. Also checked thyroid issues and found that as one reason. So I am taking thyroxine tablets too.
I have seen many posts of you on this. But you haven't mentioned what you have done. Self treatment won't work all the time.
Its high time to consult a doctor and figure out the core issue. Your issue doesn't look normal. So consult a doctor as soon as possible. Dont waste time before its too late. Take care

Agree with DDream. You keep posting repeatedly about the same issue. It’s time to get professional help.

As @MalStrom and @DDream said, the medical issues should be consulted with a medical professional. If your issue is managing with the pad, try using tampons.

If you are worried about leakage you can look for underwear labeled “period panties”. They are made of an absorbent material and designed to be worn in lieu of pads, but you can use it as an extra layer of protection. You can also get a mattress protector to prevent stains.

Yes. Another option is menstrual cups. I dont have any experience with it, but read its very useful. In case of pre-menstrual spotting , if any, panty liners ( example: check this) are useful. If you prefer napkins, search for good panties that hold it well ( google).
Hope you feel better. Take care
