    Hi,
I’m looking for a good hair colour brand which is free from Ammonia, PPD, peroxide and other harsh chemicals.

All this while I was using the henna and indigo combination to cover grays. But now it’s getting really difficult to use henna because of weather and other reasons. It’s been more than 4 months since I used henna.
I am looking for something quick and simple but which doesn’t cause any side effects like more grays or hairfall.

    Please suggest!

Are you looking to cover grays?
I like Clairol Natural Instincts. It is semi-permanent so it will gradually wash out with time, and doesn’t give you the “skunk-line” you can get with permanent color. I leave it on for at least 45 min instead of the 15 min recommended on the package. If you have very thick or long hair you may need 2 packs.

Yes I’m looking for something to cover grays. How long does the colour last?

About 3 weeks for me for best color, then it starts to fade. I recolor every 6 weeks.

@MalStrom Is Clairol Natural Instincts similar to Madison Reed? Any thoughts on how it compares with other products in market? I haven't tried both and currently doing henna+indigo too. I am getting tired of doing the henna and then indigo as the indigo works for me only when done separately :( !

I’m not sure about Madison Reed. I keep receiving their emails but I have never personally tried them.

Tried Madison Reed, seemed too good to be true, pleasant smell and all.. had such bad hair loss that I stopped using it. Not sure if it was just for me.

That’s why I’m skeptical to try any hair dye

Any tips or links on protecting the sink, bathroom floor and shower floor when using Clairol Natural Instincts?

And how to get rid of accidental stains? Which cleaning liquids work best?

If I were in India, I would simply use the water tap and the cemented area in the backyard. : ) In Umrica, so much to setup before and so much to clean up after.
