:hello: I can comprehend the extent of caffeine deprivation. It could be devastating at times. But not that is difficult to overcome.

    2. Bitter are the medicines that gives one the cure needed. In my thirties, I was in a place left alone in a flat for a month in peak monsoon and no milk no coffee. I was managing to eat break fast consisting of leftover rice and curds. But it did wonders to my system. Could be that I had previously suffered without knowing lactose intolerance too.

    3. When lockout begun in March 23, here in India - we stopped vendors delivering milk because they and the milk pouch land us in COVID. We had no stock of milk powder. For almost three weeks managed with black herbal tea instead of coffee. But it resulted in more enthusiasm for life. One discovers this way what could result in wonders to the body & mind.

    4. So sister endure to get cured of toxic news, relations, relatives & friends.

God bless us with better taste for life.

Facebook - just uninstall from the phone and switch off the notifications to email - the account will still remain. Just dont be tempted to login to facebook on your computer or other devices.

With whatsapp, take a backup of chats, transfer to another device - preferable a tab that you dont use often. And then uninstall from your device. Switch the wifi or device off. Check once a week or fortnight.

If you dont have a spare device, just switch off notifications in whatsapp - am sure it will not show anything till you open the app. Just hide the app shortcut inside some folder or different page in your phone UI.

I too did a kind of detox long ago some years back when I was in a very difficult situation...I didnt delete any account, i only unfollowed those poeple who made me uncomfortable..so I dont see their updates while they r still in my friendlist..WhatsApp and other messaging apps, i used in smartphone which I kept switched off always..I had an alternate number, which I used in different phone which was slightly more ordinary...for any calls my near ones would either call my landline number or reach on that...I would switch on smartphone once very couple of days.. I had disabled read receipts...had put up a status on all messaging apps that I'm offline and out of network range so pretty much very few people contacted me and few groups only there would be messages from...would selectively reply n delete...
That was a different situation when my mind was disturbed and I was in a challenging phase of life. .. I haven't done that since , I m too tired and busy to spend time on social media anyways..but one thing is for sure, I noticed that if someone I really dislike seems to be enjoying themselves and post pics on exotic vacations or romantic family pic with spouse etc. it would piss me off...and someone's update on new job when I was having career struggle would make me feel low ...I was even unable to feel glad for important events or happy news of my close friends when my state of mind wasn't good...sp yeah I understand your need for social media detox , u would benefit from it...

Whatever apps you use, you have choice to on the mobile data and wifi data accessibility.
I keep it off for WhatsApp. So whenever I feel I will on it and I will get the messages. Till then no disturbances.

I use Facebook for market place and logout. Very rarely I scroll through facebook. It helps.

But why not use social media to your advantage Anika, so many ladies are promoting their talents through social media...my classmates and known relatives who are home bakers, makeup artists, food bloggers, dancers (classical) , etc have their own FB and Instagram pages...and youtube channels too...some kids and ladies take online baking, fitness, cooking, dance , yoga classes etc as they become popular and kids and adults both want to remotely attend classes during free time to learn these skills...
The people who underestimate you will keep their mouths shut after seeing your talent...
    Wouldn't that benefit you?
