    Quick question guys...

    if I deactivate Facebook..does it delete the account and content permanently after some days?

    I have some good acquaintances in Facebook whom I don’t want to lose...

    Also..I am under the impression that if I uninstall watsapp..does it stop incoming messages and lose out on important messages?

    I want to just log in to watsapp once a week..if I log in ..will I have new messages in watsapp?

    No it will not delete anything. As long as you just deactivated it will suspend the account, when you ready you can always sign in...

    I did this a year ago:biggrin::biggrin:

    No you don't. I deactivate my fb on and off. Whenever you want to go back you just need to log in again. However there is an option for deleting account. If you choose that then you can't go back to your old account. Deactivating doesn't delete your account. It will remain deactivated till the time you log in back.

    Yes if you uninstall WhatsApp then you won't get messages. You can install WhatsApp in a different phone and switch off the WiFi that way once a week or once a month or whenever you feel like viewi g the messages you can switch on the WiFi and read the messages there. There is an option to not send read receipt. That way the sender will not even know that you read their messages.

    @anika987
    With a view to detox, giving up regular habits - good or bad, bound to create immediate after-effects. Giving up coffee or even smoking cause severe headache and mood swings.

    2. Except for chronic alcoholics, with passage of time normalcy sure to restore. In the meanwhile patience is the key.

    3. Switching to more chanting and change of activity certainly helps in overcoming the negative after-effects and gradually the bliss can be felt in the form regaining composure, steady mindedness, aplomb, peace with oneself etc.
    You already confirmed with chanting you feel protected and got hopes of restoring vibrancy in life.

    4. you had already embarked upon detoxing and continue to remain in that mode.

    5. It is said a thing to turn into habit, it has to be practised for maximum 21 times. Likewise, as a corollary, I should say to kill a habit one has to stop it abruptly - go cold turkey - and remain so for probably 21 days.

    6. Many hypochondriacs turned normal during this pandemic. Stoppage of their habit of calling on physicians or visiting hospitals now turned them with positive outlook. Few of my family friends who were in habit of complaining about ailments regularly have found on their own they are now healthy. Pandemic has caused a placebo effect on them.

    7. Let the closed accounts remain closed for 90 days. Do not be tempted to open whatsApp Facebook. What is paramount is detox to be achieved. Mental peace to be restored. Shanthi nilava vendum.

    8. You Know Habits Die Hard
    I hope going through this link will give a semblance of peace. I suggest listen to your favourites of Asha Bhonsle.

    Regards.
