    Hmm... I gave it thought... slept on it too... I don't think the subject can be made any clearer. : ) But then what do we know how the minds of blokes work...

    The only thing I can think of is change 'cherish' to 'fondly remember'. But 'cherish' is so le mot juste ...

    @Laks09 thank you for bringing such a topic. It's so nice to see such gentlemen do exist in this world. Reading about caring and kindness is always a pleasant feeling right?

    When it comes to me still figuring out if he loves me or not. At times he care me like a baby. At time he act like a stranger who met me on the spot. Still not able to get which is real?

    @salad- Glad you like the thread.

    Every marriage has ups and downs and in-betweens. I was penning down a good moment to come back to and read when the downs happen. Yesterday when I really was upset about an unlocked front door, I thought about the post and decided to let it go. Starting this thread helped with that.

    I hope everyone is able to come back and read their posts some day in the future and relive an old memory.

    @salad - I’m actually re-reading everyone’s posts multiple times. The most important and most cherished memories like @Rihana pointed out are the ones where we are taken care of at our most vulnerable, jumped in when we aren’t able to do it alone and given importance and due credit. All other things seem to be secondary.

    :hello:Sorry to revisit on account of irresistible urge to share.

    There was a time immediately after assuming charges in a different location when my boy - a toddler of four years, I met with an accident resulting in my leg in plaster for three weeks. We were residing on fourth floor in a building without lift then.

    She too got transferred to a double shift branch bank. She took great care of me at a time when I was distressed mentally & physically. Mentally because I just got a better placement.

    I wonder even today, how she managed entire household and me the bed-ridden and attending double shift branch and the toddler. She must have had a harrowing time, but she maintained her aplomb and cheer. Help came in the form of her elder brother only after three weeks. He had to come from Chennai to our far off location.

    Three weeks later when my plaster removed and could walk along, in the clinic she hugged a limping me teary eyed. It was alloyed happiness.

    This I continue to cherish even to this day.

    Knowing that am a voracious reader, she managed to find time to borrow from circulating library wonderful novels by popular authors. Those books by Shidney Sheldon and Irving Wallace - I read when my left-thigh-knee-leg was in plaster for three weeks - it is green in memory. “If Tomorrow Comes” “Eye Of The Needle” ....a fine selection of reading materials by her.

    I can write on and on but with welled up eyes unable to see keys through teary eyed.

    Please don’t apologize. I love everyone’s posts and I’m really moved by yours. I’m going to share again soon.

    There is something to be said about a partner who puts things on overdrive and take over when we are not well. Especially the extra care and TLC during the recuperation. It’s extra special.

    You are both made for each other. This is a beautiful post. I would love to pin this somewhere for everyone to read.

    Thank you for sharing. It made my Christmas special.
