Ladies, do you drive - if yes, which car?

I am thinking of buying a car and wanted suggestions on buying my first car. I have a license and know how to drive (but need practice and confidence). I'm excited about this - buying my very own car is my new year resolution!! Any tips?

Since I will fully own, drive, maintain it - I would like to know if there are some women-centric cars (if there's such a thing) which you all can suggest. No one except ME would be responsible or ready to maintain it or help me in emergencies - so please suggest accordingly.

    My criteria -
    1. Easy to maintain - easily available service centers and not too high maintenance
    2. Preferably automatic (not manual)
    3. Not too bulky / big - it should be small or mid-sized as the traffic and parking here will otherwise be a problem. Hatchback for sure - no sedans or SUVs.
    4. Most of it's use would be driving back and forth to work - city traffic driving.

I budgeted for around 8-10 L. Slightly lower or higher range is also fine.

I was thinking Swift, i20 , Grand nios i10, Baleno or Venue.

    Any suggestions?

My suggestion is to go far automatic and i20 is a good choice.

I drove an i10. It was convenient to drive in traffic. It was easy to park in between a million bikes. It was good maintenance wise, no major issues. I didn’t have an automatic car but based on my experience the automatic i10/20 should be a good one to buy.

I used to drive Toyota Camry. Not big like Avalon (but boy, does it feel luxurious) and not too scrawny like Corolla.

One you get confidence you may like Avalon or SUV like RAV4.

IMHO the car should make you look manly in front of all the crazy drivers (women are a soft target).

Buy something compact and easier to maintain, like the Celerio or WagonR automatic at 5-6 lakh to perfect the art of getting home without scratches and bumper scraping in 2-3 years and sell it for 70% of the price and then buy something nice and powerful like a Polo TSI.
