I am here to nominate @tanya3's thread Is It Really Worth Living This Way!!. I am sure many ladies will give their suggestions here and I simply liked her balanced post with all facts presented as is so that others can suggest solutions without any bias. She had mentioned the problem with MIL but attributed specifics about her problem and similarly, she expressed her thoughts about leaving the husband but also clearly stated that her husband is a good person. I feel many suffer from this problem but may not articulate clearly as she did here.

I have not responded to this thread as yet as I need to think about what would be an appropriate response to such a wonderful thread.

I am here to nominate @SuiDhaaga's thread How Can Women Protect Themselves When Traveling - Or Should They Just Stay Home. Everyone should read this original post, responses from other ILites, and OP's own response that cover comprehensively all of the concerns a woman has while traveling. Even though it is painful to learn about what happened at the airport, it is educational for a man like me to understand what precautions one should take to let a woman in the family travel alone. Until I read this thread, I never thought through the risks a woman could face while traveling internationally. We always take into consideration the place of origin and destination but never considered a transit location to be dangerous for a woman traveling.
