Is there any herb or lifestyle anyone can suggest to help menopause symptoms like mood swings, knee pain etc

I have pretty healthy lifestyle like good diet, exercise, good sleep, supplements like d vitamin with calcium, ashwagandha etc.

Evening primrose oil is supposed to be beneficial. Lower-carbs seem to help in my case.

It comes as capsules. My gyn suggested I try it. It didn’t do much for me but other people seem to have found it helpful.

I am a senior, had gone thru all with great difficulty. I didnt do anything, at all, and I was lucky to have an understanding spouse. Adolescent kids were most challenging. Times have changed and you guys face a lot more challenges now, but keeping the mind peaceful and letting the body handle it would still be a good option.

First it is natural and nature blesses us when we don't intervene. It s very important that the person concerned as also ppl around should understand & accept it. This greatly reduces a lot of stress.

Secondly, hydrating ourselves well along with your well maintained health habits would suffice.

Finally, our experienced siddha Dr. says that Aswagandha boosts sexual capabilities also...in that way, is it not contradictory to the natural bodily process of withdrawing from reproductory cycle? This is just a suggestion pls verify with other reliable sources also.

    Hi,
I have few suggestions, both medical and non-medical, as I regularly see patients who need help with menopausal symptoms.
Medical (usually the prescription drugs/therapies that would be suggested by your doctor): hormonal replacement therapy, anti-depressants, Gabapentin, Clonidine etc.
Home remedies: Living in lower room temperatures, avoiding hot and spicy foods, avoid caffeinated products, trying some stress-reduction techniques like meditation, breathing exercises, losing weight if overweight.
Supplements: Black Cohosh (perhaps the most commonly used and most studied), Ginseng, Vitamin E.
Let me know if you have more questions!
