My Best Navratri In 2016

This year was my best Navrathri. I started preparations for Navrathri before a month only. Wanted to give pearl chains toall the ladies. So made 55 to 60 pearl chains. Made chains for Ambal and decorated Durga Devi ,Lakshmi, Radha Krishna and another doll.

My sister had sent to a trust in Thanjavur for annadanam and told them to send God's photo to my address. So a lady from there phoned and asked me which God I want. I told her to send Lakshmi, Saraswati and Parvati. they sent me photo of Lakshmi, Saraswati and Parameswaran's pattabhishekam. The photo was painted in a cloth. The photos I got before Navrathri. Lakshmi and Saraswati I attached to a cardboard and kept in my God's stand. Lord Parameswar's pattabhishekam I attached to a cardboard box and kept for Golu. So could not make much steps. Kept only Radhakrishna, Lakshmi, th edoll I decorated and Marapachi and Ganpathi with Kalasam in the middle.I will post in the appropriate forum my Golu. Arranged electric lamps too. These photos have been done pooja , so my sister was saying it is very auspicious.

Everyday morning made a sweet and evening chundal. This year all my chundals came out nicely and some friends appreciated too. Some liked the chains very much and were saying it matched their saree the onewhich they got. Some told me whydont you start business. Since I had told everyone to come anyday everyday someone or other visited. So felt happy

Till Saturday all my pearl chains got over. On Sunday, 9th October a group of nine ladies from a bajan group were going to come and I had to make chains. So I bought some ready made chains and in between added different pearls and made chains because it will be easier to make the chains since already the pearls are there in the thread , after that removed the old thread. That day made some 12 chains and again yesterday made five more pearl schains and a necklace for my brother in law's son's grand daughter. Also for another brothe rin law's grand daughter since it was her birthday though I had already given her for Navrathri.

Except a few who were not well everyone whom I invited attended the Golu . Everyone from my building came and liked th epearl chains. I made different type of chains. All were not the same.

Those who invited me I went int he morning and evening attended to ladies who came home. After lunch at 2.30 used to keep for the chundal and by 4 keep ready the vethilai pakku , etc with the chains put in a nice bag so that it will be easy togive when they come Some days it was very hectic . My husband's friend and like a father figure to everyone and 93 years old also came with a stick climbing the two floors and blessed us. Also my brother who is 85 years old came with my niece.

With Devi's blessings and elder's blessings and best wishes from everyone my Navrathri turned out the best. Today had gone for Narayaneeyam so felt happy that I could read there and go to the temple though since I was tired because of the nine days, also no rest duirng the nine days in the afternoon my eyes were dozing in between
