Uncle, I agree with Whatever you told. Still It should be good if nominating posts thread open up for all the members instead of joining in the nominating committee.
@Mistt Dear Mistt Thank you for your suggestion. We have decided to try this system since nobody came forward to nominate despite my earnest appeals. We will try this out for a few months and see Sri
I agree, that there is less traffic online and many are only reading in guest mode. Many of the regular contributors are absconding. With return of winter weather and less things to do outside- may they return! I agree with your decision! Support it too.
@hermitcrab I am extremely grateful to you for understanding my predicament. Thank you for your response. Sri
@iyerviji My dear Viji Thank you for your first nomination of Relationship With Mom by @Angela123 Angela has shared her anguish in a highly composed way. She has not shown the least bit of irritation in her expressions about her mum's indifference. That's a very admirable quality. Even the responses to her post are supportive without being vituperative. I only hope things will get sorted out eventually. Sri
@iyerviji My dear viji Thank you for your nomination of My Dear Truth, Where Are You? by @jayasala42 I always admire jayasala's brand of tongue in cheek humor. This post made an interesting reading. Take for example this sentence: Kingdom of lies indeed! Are we all not happy citizens of this kingdom? Gandhiji experimented with truth and concluded that it should be the guiding principle of his life. The present generation makes fun of it! Jayasala has brought out the changing scenario very effectively. Sri
@iyerviji My dear Viji Thank you for your nomination of @Thyagarajan 's response to Rihana's thread The Goodbyes Of Many Things The Goodbyes of Many Things prompt Thyagu to recall his own Goodbyes of the past in a very interesting manner. Human life has to be necessarily a string of goodbyes lest we should get overloaded with unwanted luggage. As the old placard of Indian Railways point out, less luggage, more comfort make travel a pleasure. Thyagu's add-on to Rihana's post makes it even more delightful Sri
"kyah wah taj" visual with thabla cross the mind. Heartfelt comments i take it in humbleness. Thanks to sister @iyerviji .
Like many readers, sometimes when I read the starter posts in the Relationship forum, I wish that the posted problem was fiction. The way the OP's find themselves stuck between a rock and a hard place, often in a foreign land, and with so few choices, it is just plain upsetting to read how others have played with their lives. My first nomination for the month is this post by @DDream in response to a gut-wrenching problem posted by a member: Feels Like Revenge The range of options provided, possibilities covered, the "watch-out for's" listed, the order of steps suggested, how to retain sanity and dignity while biding time till a firmer step... DDream's response takes care of it all. To achieve that balance of empathy and solid, practical, actionable advice in a response is not easy.
