It has always been my practice to write a long prologue to my Winner announcements. I realize that beating around the bush might have been a favorite pastime in the last century but in the modern world, long preambles are intensely disliked. If I hum and haw instead of coming to the point straight, people tell me, ‘If you have nothing to say, don’t say it here’! So let me come straight to business. No matter how little a person earns, he is bound to have aspirations of living well with a house, a car and so on and so forth. Some will be able to make their dreams a reality through excellent planning but many will only continue dreaming. If you belong to the second category, you must listen to nuss. I have great pleasure in declaring @nuss as the Winner of the Finest Contribution Award for her thread Building Wealth On A Moderate Income Corona has affected everyone from school going children to the people in their second childhood. Staying at home is easier said than done. More so for people who have to run all the errands themselves! Who can talk about it with greater feeling than our celebrated member Viji? Her lamentation in ten lines made me curse Corona more than ever before. I have great pleasure in declaring @iyerviji as the Winner of the Finest Narration Award for her post During Lockdown My hearty congratulations to the Winners and my sincere thanks to the proposers and supporters of the Winning Posts!
My dear Anna Thankyou for.selecting my.post as winner. You know how happy I feel when it is nominated and more happy when.I get the award. Thank you for your lovely message about my post.
My dear @HariLakhera Glad that your first nominated post.got award. Congrats to you. Thanks for nominating
Congratulations to both @nuss and @iyerviji. @nuss is an extraordinary forward-looking person with great insight about how to build the future for themselves and her children. Her prowess in financial planning makes me wonder whether she got a Ph.D. also in Finance. She motivates many through her writings on how to go about saving money. The only recommendation I would make her is not to mention her wealth openly in a public forum. @iyerviji is a practical individual filled with a lot of love for everyone including ILites. Frankly, I have not read her snippet about lockdown but I am always happy about her winning an award.
@iyerviji @nuss A moment for rejoicing. Congratulations that your invaluable posts have won the monthly award best post category.
Dear @nuss, Congratulations on the FP win! Thank you for the practical tips on saving. I hadn’t been doing some of the things you suggested and have made a strong mental note. Dear @iyerviji aunty, Congratulations on the finest narrative win. I love your simplicity and zest for life. I adore all your stories and especially the way you go about sharing the details of mundane everyday occurrences. Transports me back to India every time!
