    Hi All,

I really need help with my health issues. Zero stamina and over weight.

I was underweight until my marriage.

After that i took some medicines because of the side effect i gained lot of weight. Then i stopped medicine. Did exercise, lost weight. Back in shape.

After sometime stopped exercise gained weight again.

Pregnancy- gained weight again. Due to breast feeding lost weight again.

Stopped breast feeding, joined back to work. No time to exercise gained weight again.

Again stopped working started exercise back in shape.

Restarted job and very bad schedule. No exercises gained weight.

Until marriage everyone did body shame telling i am so slim. Now telling fat.

It has been 5-6 rounds of weight loose journey in last 10 years. I am running between 64kg -70kg. My pre pregnancy weight was 56 kg. (Which i think I can never reach). Before marriage 47kg.

I find it hard to maintain rather loosing weight.

I got sever depression at times. Never get deep sleep(it has been years. Took medicine but due to side effect stopped it). Even now with job and housework, kid find very less time to exercise.

All the weight which i lost was only due to exercise. As I can't control my food due to depression.

Any guidance to put a full stop to this journey between 64-70 and permanently halt on 60?

Please ignore my immature sentence or spelling or grammar. Desperately looking for a solution not bullying please.

    My sympathies to you...
I too am experiencing weight fluctuations and finding it tough to lose or maintain weight..
Body shaming..???? Oh yes I’ve experienced it all...childhood days I was chubby.people laughed at me and criticised me...about 10 years back I was on the lower end of my target weight and at some point of time I was alomost underweight, everyone would comment on my skinny appearance.,.since past couple of years I’m overweight and haven’t lost the post preg weight. I have health issues due to which I take medicines and these too play a role in my weight not reducing...I’ve heard my share of comments from people, they say I’m not as slim as I was earlier and became fat etc..,my husband seems to have lost interest in me ( I think so ) , imagine how depressing it is..I can’t go walking outside or go to gym due to Covid19 problem, there are cases in my area and nearby streets also.
Body Image issue and depression is real, you need to address it and improve self confidence,..weight loss doesn’t happen overnight...
I’m not a right person to give suggestion for weight loss, but have u tried increasing your water intake, and cutting out sugar from your diet? Especially in coffee and tea..it helps in keeping weight stable to some extent as sugar has lot of calories..
Have you got yourself checked for blood sugar, thyroid , pelvic ultrasound and screening for PCOS etc? Because you complain of overweight, low stamina and severe weight fluctuations...
And why should anyone bully you? This is a common issue faced by most women at this stage of life...

    Hi,
I think most women go through this. Even me. After marriage gaining weight, reduce, after baby ,gain weight, reduce and next baby, gain weight and struggle to reduce. Me too in same phase. Tired of doing to diet and exercise. I will reduce some weight in summer and in winter gain weight again. We have to choose something which we can follow in our lifestyle. So I am trying intermittent fasting which works for me( I mean other diets I follow lose weight, leave it and gain back weight again) . This is lifestyle change and it is followed throughout the life. I am not asking to do same . Do some research about it. I am a big foodie. I can’t live without eating yummy food but now I do portion control and follow intermittent fasting. I won’t say I am losing weight ,so far I ate everything in particular window period but didn’t see any weight change so now I doing portion control . Let’s see ,hope I will reduce weight.

do some research before trying this. I follow 16 hr fasting and 8 hr eating .

    Thank you for your reply.

My depression is not due to body image. It's due to some other family issues. I don't think it got a permanent solution.

I did take some test recently and everything came out okay other than bit imbalance in the LDL - HDL ratio and low blood sugar( it was 60 with fasting and 70 after taking food. )

Thank you for your reply. Good to know that this fluctuation is common.

I will check on intermittent fasting. Never tried this before. Seriously i think only a lifestyle change can put a full stop to this fluctuations.

How long you have been doing this? Do you follow any link or video anything?

for weight loss you have to do good healthy diet and exercise. For that you have to improve energy. For that you need to take good sleep and wake up fresh and feel energetic. For all this you have to improve overall lifestyle like no junk or processed food, remove toxins, detox, inflammation etc. if you have any other health problems try to cure that. It’s all connected you see. If you eat healthy green leafy vegetables, fruits, healthy grains in your body your energy, sleep pattern, everything will be improved. There is medical medium online, they suggest good fruits, veggies, grains to improve health. Try to stop dairy, eggs, processed food for some days and see it will make difference.

My suggestion would be not focus on scale. Write down what your priorities in life are as a journal everyday/week. Work towards it.

weight is easy to lose when you are happy and focussed.

Being thin doesnt mean you are healthy. Last yr I lost weight and became sick because I had no energy.. couldnt even focus on kids. So, my weight loss journey was a failure.

so, focus on something else which gives you motivation to go further.. like 5k streps a day, 100 crunches in a week, etc.

Hi @ProudIndian Thank you for your reply.
I understand it is all interconnected. My issue starts from the point where I don't get deep sleep and feel tired and irritated the next day. Not sure how to cure it. :(
Inconsistency is the main issue. Someday everything on time. Some days no food at all and heavy dinner(kind of eating for whole day after the work).
I am pure veg. So don't eat egg. Take tea 2 times a day. Don't eat outside food as daily cook food at home.

Never tried any cleansing or detox etc. Need to try that. Any specific suggestion?
Do you take any vitamin supplements?

Hi @YoGirl Thank you for your reply. I used journal everyday. Need to restart it again.
I had long and short term goals on all aspects of life but when I realised nothing is going the way which I thought kind of quit it. but paying with my health for everything now.

True being slim is not the target but badly need some stamina.
I am not much worried about how much I look on scale but when I am not able to run home, office and kid it really takes a toll on me. I am dead tired but still no deep sleep. Got a lot of work to do but body is not willing to run.

Seems like need to reboot myself.

be aware cautious about what you put in your body from caffeine to oil or supplements. Synthetic chemicals vitamins have side effects. I have been experimenting lot and came to conclusion whatever grows on trees is best for our body, I mean natural food not processed. Try to drink green tea 2 bags in morning no sugar no milk. Try to avoid second round of caffeine, no tea after 11 am. Warm lemon honey water also give energy. Squeeze & soak lemon overnight in 2 litter water and drink same water next day. Add mint, cucumber if possible in that water overnight. Also watch what oil you are putting in your tadka. Slowly try to avoid dairy, eggs, gluten, canola oil. Replace with more fruits veggies specially green leafy vegetables, millets, oats etc. ashwagandha helps stress relief, try for few days. Don’t be addicted or dependent on any synthetic supplements. Try to take vitamins in natural food form like fruit or carrots cucumber nuts should be your snack. Lifestyle change takes time but keep trying. If you have problem falling asleep meditate, focus on breathing, no thinking anything. Make your health first priority. For detox eat green salad or drink drink smoothie e.g. mix spinach with any fruits and make smoothie. Don’t add milk or yogurt. See if avoiding dairy for some days makes difference in your energy level and sleep quality.
