This signature tune is familiar, but I cannot pinpoint the name of the band or movie. Oh ! It’s “ lonely shepherd”. When the music is magic, no wonder the audience is totally mesmerised! Thanks for nice inputs from you!

Leo Rojas is one of my all time favorites. My list of favorites is topped by Paul Mauriat. Listen to him.

Higgins Bagavathat was an American who researched into various forms of music. He came to Chennai to learn Carnatic music and made this his home. He was run over and killed by a drunken driver on December 7, 1984 in his mid forties. His music fascinated everyone so much that even the prestigious Music Academy gave him an evening slot.

    Dear Cheeniya Sir,

I wonder whether Lord Krishna would even remotely think of visiting the earth, with all this corona pandemic going on.
Anyway when I posted this blog I never imagined, it would get some decent number of views. But the reality is unbelievable, and for this, the special thanks goes to you for all your lively inputs. Thank you once again.
    “Sarvam Krishnarpanam”.

    Regards,

This “world music day” would not be complete without mentioning a word about some talented artists, who have crossed the boundaries of religion, caste etc and have taken music to the international level.
Without much blabbering here I present 3 concerts
TM Krishna with Sheikh Mehboob Subhani playing Nadaswaram

Amazing performance by master Praveen pandit on saxophone

A young lad from Chennai Lydian Nadaswaram has taken music to the international level through his piano and drums solo!
