The chemical name for Epsom salts is magnesium sulfate, so it’s not like a table salt. As for whether it actually does anything there’s different schools of thought. If your soil is deficient in magnesium or sulfur it can provide the minerals. It is also supposed to be good for blooming. But it should only be used as a supplement to a balanced fertilizer. I like to use Dr. Earth or Espoma fertilizer. Osmocote is also convenient as it only has to be applied every few months.

I envy your garden! I go through a gardening phase every other spring only to kill all my plants come winter and then swear off gardening for the next year. I’ll try to keep these jasmines alive this winter!

This my other side of my garden.
I have hibiscus (not in the pic), banana plant, grapes, and star fruit.
My question is- is the spacing ok? Should I move the Star fruit plant? I read in few sites that grapes does well with ONLY certain plants next to it.
Does the grape plants still get enough sunlight, even though its covered?

Also, planning to buy a tiller- @MalStrom Any suggestion?
Currently, I use a pitchfork, it's kind of taking a toll on my time and energy that I spend in the garden not to mention my back is sore for days.

Is the tiller mentioned below good?

I would move the star fruit plant further away. Have you civered the grape to protect the fruit?
I do not have any experience with tillers. I am a pretty lazy gardener. I just dig up a hole for what I’m planting and the plunk the plants in. I then add a ton of compost and mulch on top and let the earthworms do the work for me.

Yes, I Have covered the grapes to protect it from birds.
I am planning to move my hibiscus to the front yard and I will give that place to star fruit.

With clay soil, I till quite a bit. Not even sure, if tilling is necessary, but over a period of time... I have seen some improvement after I till the plants grow a bit better.

My gardener told me not to pamper it until it fruits.
Now it's fruiting. By end of Nov, I will b able to get my hands on it.
