How To Find Name Of Gated Community Based On Home Listing

I do not think it is a gated community, mainly because it is one of so many houses (single family homes) in a neighborhood. Single family home neighborhoods usually consist of few homes to hundreds of homes developed in an area. The fewer the homes, more chance of being a gated community. This doesn't look like one. You can also drive around in google earth to confirm.

If you want to work with realtor, hire a local one and explain your needs. They can give a lot of information on the property and help you find one that might match your criteria. They usually get paid from the from seller after sale, buyer usually do not pay realtor, at least here in Missouri.

 

Not true, at least in my case. It gets tricky when you deal with the owner, I never felt safe. It is best to keep realtors involved if you know the amount of paper work involved in buying a home. If the home owner is not experienced it is very stressful. I do not know if you have worked with a realtor before with a bad experience. If you are not satisfied, you are not obliged to use the same person. You can change him/her right away, as long as you do not sign anything (I know only about where I live, you don't sign anything until you find the house to buy). If you use redfin.com to find the house, it has realtor and they are less aggressive, but local at the same time. But less aggressive means less results. I worked with 3 realtors, including one from redfin, and all of them where polite and not pushy. They sent me a listings weekly and if I liked any, they got more information before I visited.

On another note, condos, duplexes are more likely to have a gated community. Not very many single homes (ok, may be million dollar homes) have gated access.
