Wow, great thread, thanks for starting this thread OP.

We have been a veggie gardeners for the past 5yrs and have Curry leave plants, mint, coriander, Moringa, 2 varieties of Jasmine, Malabar spinach, Amarnath, Sorrel(gongura), peppers, okra, Cheery tomotoes, vine tomotoes, broad beans, yellow cucumber, waiting for chillies to sprout. This year has been challenging in zone 7b with unpredictable weather conditions, everything getting delayed with seeds sprouting but surely not giving up :)

We also have lots of varieties of roses around the yard, wild flowers which will attract bees and butterflies!!

We dont use any fertilizers and the soil is self fertilized with earthworms and kitchen waste..

Yes this is normal. I cut the older leaves in Jan or feb. So when its spring the plant will grow fresh new leaves. This is my 3 year of having the plant. In the first 2 years, the growth is slow. This is the first year that I already have flowers blooming. Last year the flowers only bloomed around end of late Aug/Sept.

@EverydayBloom- so inspired to read your post. where did you get Amarnath seeds?
I have no place to grow another tree in my backyard.
I would love love to have moringa, though. Love moringa leaves palya its been years that I have eaten moringa leaves.
Tips on where you buy your seeds or plants?
Any luck in growing tulsi in 7B?

Very lucky to have self-fertilized land.
I am finding out my backyard has sand + clay. I spend half the time fixing the soil.

Post pics if you want to share. I would love to see them.
By the way, any suggestion on climber rose with fragrance for 10 A

Look up the Antique Rose Emporium website. They are located in Texas and have a ton of varieties listed. You may be able to find some locally.

Another source for roses that I absolutely love is David Austin roses, creator of the English roses. They are gorgeous Old World type roses and several are climbing varieties too. The bareroot season is over but you might be able to find containers. Another place that sells an amazing variety of roses is Roses Unlimited in South Carolina.
Zepherine Drouhin is a beautiful thornless climber.

Thanks blindpup. I just started last year and this year with stay at home orders took a lot more interest.
No, we didn’t use any barrel. We have a raised bed that squirrel and rabbits dog all the time. I used a part of that. It already had chicken wire around and I used thick cardboard around (hoping it will become a part of compost.
My grape vine is just starting. I will get some pictures soon. I did plant tulsi. I found a packet of seeds from my Parents’ tulsi plant that I brought 5-6 years ago (thanks to organizing/ cleaning) and just started in a pot. I hope it grows!
Thank you for starting this thread and the inspiration.

    Thank you.
My 2 curry leaf plants also 2 years old.
They started blooming in early spring.
I pinched them and now growing 3 new stems from there.
They both are in a 20 gallon pot.
I got it as a gift from a neighborhood friend .
When she gave me, there were 2 plants in a small one gallon pot . I was scared to separate them and planted them in a big pot.
    Hope they grow well.
    Thanks again for your tips

Here is my grape vine. I planted it close to the wall so we can have some support for the trellis. It’s very windy where we live. B1DA5DE4-0912-4465-BE8C-0E540D65153C.jpeg 14137148-09FF-4AB8-B656-83AD0D37FADD.jpeg
