Okay..Until April end they said it was a lockdown and then extended it to May kid..Now it’s soon going to be end of May..and then what? They said phase 1 opening and phase opening etc but except for grocery stores what has opened? When do you think malls,gyms and offices,parks will Slowly open? Everything looks like a mirage.. Also,directly in September..are the schools going to reopen?With what confidence in 3 months are we all going to send kids to school?That too in school buses etc.. Kids are all missing their schools and extra curricular activities. Fine being at home but many a times feel Suffocating. When do things will slowly change? Don’t see any change right now being in the east coast..
I live in Mid West. We have pretty much everything opened here. Including dentists. Restuarants are take out only I think, didn't matter to me so I have no idea. Summer camps - no news so far. Kids are miserable, but I would be happy with that kind of miserable than having COVID-19.
Parks are open since May 4. Do not know about the malls. Even though state decided open by May 4, some cities are opening up by this week only. However, parks have full people since May 4th. Costco, Walmart, everything has people with social distancing.
Here in south everything is open. People don't want to do to parks due to fear. I feel roads are busier than before. Summer camps are not there. But then kids are out on cycles scooters
It will depend on how badly your state and county is affected and the political leadership in your area. No one-size-fits all.
Same situation here in India.. All are sailing in the same boat, panic about Covid crisis, job security issues, unable to step out, travel restrictions making it difficult to make essential family visits or stranded in a different place, schools closed and uncertainty about re opening of schools etc... Working parents are going crazy with job pressures and the child care part too as day cares are closed. Even if they open its not safe ....many have family support which will require many compromises on their part...many don’t have family support and neither is it’s that safe to keep a nanny unless she is a live in baby sitter...not everyone can work from home, many moms would opt for remote roles or leave job to be SAHMs for sometime for their kids. Many known ladies are stuck with in-laws since lockdown as senior citizens are not encouraged to travel. My sympathies to all of them as I’m one of them... Yes you’re suffocating but there are people who have it worse. If u think about them , you’ll feel better..even if you’re at home you’re safe and have your freedom. I’m not sure things will be normal for a long time from now.. Even after lockdown ends. We have to face this crisis with precautions. I trust ModiJi to come up with a good plan soon.. Praying to God for vaccine to be out and available for general public soon.
