Aryuveda And/or Homeopathy To Relieve Body Itch From Dry Skin

    Yesterday my Itch got the best of me.

    My Dermatologist previously advised to use Sarna Lotion (even on Scalp), but it barely manages it.

    I keep humidifier everywhere.

    When I asked Dermatologist what else to do, he said nothing in Western Medicine, but suggested I try following, one at a time

    1. Stinging Nettle. Whatever standard dose it comes in.

    2. Homeopathy. Company named Boiron makes ItchX. These are pellets you put under tongue (I couldn't find on Google though)

    Is there anything in Aryuveda, Homeopathy, etc that I can eat that will relieve Body Itch from Dry Sikn.

    Moving to a warm State is harder than I thought (dealing with other issues while trying to be Lotus in the mud)

    My Primary Care Physician suggested Kale Juice (trying this and keeping fingers crossed).

    Regular application of pure coconut oil at site of irritation would give relief for long hours. Irritation occasional as in eczema too would minimise with massage of coconut oil on affected portion.
    Coconut oil is a natural moisturizer. I write from experience of others advised by ayurveda doctors.
    For severe ones, this oil mixed with pure fine powder of turmeric could be tried immediate after bath.

    I am looking for cold pressed coconut oil. Hard to get during lockdown, but certainly I will try after it becomes available.

    My daughter has extremely itchy skin due to dryness . coconut oil has helped immensely.

    you can try on costco website . cold pressed organic coconut oil is available there , i got it few weeks back. i have been using it for my 21 month old since the beginning for hair and skin both and it helps plus no side effects.

    :hello:I have often heard my dad & mom telling pure castor oil and pure coconut oil direct from cold press are panacea for lots of external and internal disorders.
    2. They are economical though a tad cumbersome to use at times.
    For stomach disorder due to excess heat my mom used to apply castor oil on navel.
    3. Regular oilbath as per tradition good for prevention of visit to dermatologist.
    4. An ointment suggested by dermatologist for a skin disease left a huge scar. Dermatologist said the application should have been very minute but the patient applied too often and too generously as reasons for the white shabby scar. The white scar with regular application of turmeric coconut oil paste diminished largely over a period of six months. Internal or oral allopathy medicines seemed to have side effects while curing external scars.
    5. Babies anointed in coconut oil left under bright son in the early hours seemed to have a glow in their later years. Keralites in Mollywood would vouchsafe for this statement.

    Thank you all for your replies. I'm got a hold of some cold-pressed coconut oil. Keeping the faith this will relieve dry skin.

    Cold-pressed is important.
