    Hi IL'ites,
This post is just about sharing experiences:)

May it be in real life or your work place it's very important to make your stand strong while you are arguing or explaining. Initial days I remember I could be defeated easily in discussions . I found the need to work around.

I made sure I had a good knowledge of the subject before I jumped in to discussions .it helped me immensely not to give up early atleast . Later I found myself in a better place to pull down someone.

Gathering strong points. Very important . You have to quickly think over and pull the strong points to support your discussion.

Knowing the weakness of opposition helps you to find a easier route to target.

More the experience discussing more the strength in your talk.

    Please do share you thoughts!!

:hello: A gist to win over in discussions. You brought home nice points to dwell.
Winning arguments and assailing the other is a great art. Attorneys & few statesmen & a few political bigwigs do it with ease.
Ingredients seems to be observation, knowledge of past events or episodes.
A DIL of today consciously or unconsciously learns this from her Mil for Effective applications subsequently not only to her Mil but disseminate among her contemporaries.
Volumes can be written to illustrate.
    Thanks and Regards.

Thanks @Thyagarajan sir for stopping by here to write.

I would love to hear a few illustrations. Also, how have you dealt with this in your personal life? Can you share a few bits?

:hello: Pointing to the rule that free liquor can be supplied at places situated over 8000 feet, an Iyengar auditor objected to free liquor to soldiers in a military establishment located at a height of 7998 feet & ordered that cost be recovered from their monthly emoluments.
    2. An Ayer who was officer command, thought for a while and replied to auditor that average height of soldiers is over five and half feet. Hence their mouth where free liquor supplied situated at a height of 7998 + 5.5 ft. I.e, over 8000 feet.

    :hello:@Archanaanchan
A gentle soul - a DIL was driving away a beggar at the door step. She was telling him that “this house none would offer you anything, stingy people”.
    The beggar began moving out.
    MIL at earshot got ENRAGED.
She told DIL that she had no right to say no to beggar.
She called back the beggar who came running to her with expectation.
MIL told him that her DIL has no right to say “ no to you. Only I can say No to you, and I am telling you No. go.”
