    @iyerviji
    My dear Viji
    Thank you for your third nomination of @Nuzhath 's Headboards, Sofas, And Ceiling Fans - Alignment Woes?
    Two aspects of Nuzhath amaze me. Her choice of subjects for her blogs and the speed at which she conjures them up like a magician. I am impressed by her choice of topics too. This time it is Headboards, Sofas, And Ceiling Fans. I am sure everyone faced this problem when fixing their beds and ceiling fans but how many could be as articulate about it as she is? Reading about this, my mind went back by decades. In those days, Chennai had only one AC theater. All other theaters endeavored to keep their customers comfortable through fans. These were not mounted in the ceiling but on the walls on either side at an angle of 60 degrees. They were all of the size of ceiling fans. All those theaters have become commercial/apartment blocks now!
    Happy to see that a six year hiatus has made Nuzhath a writer to look forward to!

    @iyerviji
    My dear Viji
    Thanks a lot of fulfilling your quota for the month so fast with @Needtobestrong 's Covid19 And Social Occasions
    This is indeed a topical subject which needtobestrong has dealt with eloquently. She has raised a lot of questions for which right now nobody has any answer. Strangely not everyone seems to be as concerned about Corona as she is. Yesterday the liquor shops in Bangaluru were reopened and a picture in the Newspapers showed large queues in front of them and the large queues had sizable girls too! People coming to collect freebies never bothered about minimum safe distance between each other. The largest vegetable market in Chennai had to be closed because of a record number of fresh cases in a single day. All these get me worried. The illiterate people of the slums do not seem to understand the great risk involved in not bothering about the Government directives.
    God save us all!

    Thanks! Iam surprised that its been six years since I last logged in to Indusladies. Life is hectic - I am finding some free time these days. Will probably get busy from next week.. but I really appreciate your feedback. And yup! I too remember those huge fans in theatres back in the old days.. Even now, in wedding halls - I dont look for the bride - she will be onstage for sure - I look up the ceiling and discretely glide by guests - to get a seat underneath a nice fan!

    Oh yes, this issue made headlines in today’s news..My friend told me she saw men standing in long queues in a local liquor store in our area..some wore masks, some didn’t...some maintained social distance, some didn’t..even grocery stores were empty compared to liquor stores!
    The liquor addiction has surpassed the fear of Covid19!
    The term “Covidiots” that’s trending all over social media is apt for them!

    @Thyagarajan
    My dear Thyagu
    I am happy to accept your maiden nomination of @iyerviji 's No One Can Take A Mother's Place though it has not been done in this column. Please note to make your future nominations directly here.
    Viji is a seasoned contributor who has a sizable number of adoring followers and she never disappoints them. Her blog specially contributed by her for Mother's Day is indeed a heartwarming piece. When I went through her post, I could easily visualize her domestic scenario, her great grandma, grandma, her suburban train journey, her grandma waiting with her granddaughter for her husband's return from office et al. There is disarming simplicity in her narrative style.
    A warm post indeed!

    Dear Cheeniya Sir,

    I am here to nominate Running Out Of Confidence In New Role. written by @BeautifulSmile. She nicely articulated her success in her various roles. However, instead of blaming a person who is heavy-headed, she focused on her self-confidence in addressing him and his client issues. The fact that she has articulated that so well indicates that she has assessed the root cause and she is only a few steps away from the solution.

    Dear Cheeniya Sir,

    I am here to nominate Sporting Spirit Among Our Gods of @HariLakhera Hari Sir's snippet. Ramana Maharishi said inquiries lead us towards answers and Hari Sir keeps asking questions that would lead us to probe more and more into leela's of Gods.

    Dear Cheeniya Sir,

    I am here to nominate Amma, Where Are You? from the desk of @jayasala42 Smt. Jayasala. Even though we have heard many experiences of her mother, this one is a wonderful tribute to her entire life and I truly enjoyed reading this.
