This meditation practice is starting to do voodoo on me. : ) Making me unrecognizable to myself. : )

On Christmas eve, I was in a movie theater with a companion. Five minutes into the feature film, two women came in and went past our row towards the ones behind us and settled down. Throughout the movie one of them kept audibly responding to dialog in the movie. Such as:
In the movie: I am sorry.
Woman in the back row: No, you are not.
In the movie: Shall we try the other room?
Woman in the back row: No, don't.
In the movie: Car swerves on a slippery road.
Woman in the back row: Watch out!

Usually, I'd have tried a loud Sssshh, but somehow fresh from meditation, I kept dismissing each comment from her with an "aah annoying" and went back to the movie each time, instead of fuming about her inconsiderateness.

When the movie ended, I considered approaching her and telling her gently from afar, 'you know those comments ruin the movie for others.' But I dropped that idea too. I did happen to look at the back rows as the lights came on and we walked out - the two women were not together. The one making the loud comments was quite old, thin white hair discernible in the dim lighting. Most likely hard of hearing.

My annoyance turned into an appreciation for her coming to the movie on Christmas eve, enjoying a whodunit (Knives Out starring Daniel Craig) instead of being stuck at home, most likely alone.

On further introspection, I realized the comments had happened about 8 times in the movie. Only 8. Not all through the movie like it felt sometimes.

Very good point and I agree with you. I see how badly I articulated my sentence above after hearing your thought on this particular "thoughts into words" comment. What I meant to say is whether there is a need for me to hide some portion of the thought or pretty up some parts of my thoughts to articulate because it is uncomfortable to say it as it is. I didn't assume I need to be better than most in articulating verbally to implement a thought. Even if it is talking to oneself, one can see whether any portion of thought is difficult to say it loudly because the heart tells it is not right to say it.

I taught the children the following two minutes meditation on Time this week to emphasize only the present time is real and to focus on what they do in the present moment. It is my belief that when the mind is trained over a period of time to concentrate, it slowly drifts away from the habit of distraction. We become addicted to things but blame everything but ourselves for such distraction.

“You close your eyes and focus your attention to the place between your eyebrows. Visualize a light that is getting into your body between your eyebrows. It travels from there to your eyes, then to your ears and then to your nose. It travels towards your hands, legs and stomach. Finally, it spreads all through the body with radiant divinity and shines through your heart. When you focus your attention to that radiant divinity, you realize that the light that resides in us is everywhere around you. You submerge into the present which is real gift of life and the time waits for no one and keeps moving forward. Space and Time are the body and mind of the divinity. Your mind is filled with the thought that past is history and future is mystery and only the present is a real gift and that is why it is called “Present”. When you open your eyes, feel the energy surrounding you is also inside of you and you feel the presence of universal consciousness present inside of you.”

To emphasize not to waste time, I showed the following video:

    Questions I should ask myself?

    1) Where do I put my energy everyday?
    2) What is one thing I practice all the time?
    3) How do I focus?
    4) How do I become better in a relationship?

This Kabbalah video explains how the Torah explains the cycle of breath, meditation, and how the Crown, Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding works.

Kindly increase the volume and listen to her soft voice carefully. There is a lot of invaluable insights.
