    Hi all,
I just thought of this question to know how others are doing during this lockdown.
In my State, the lockdown and schools closure started on March 16th. I didn't go out from March 11th. Kid was sick and at home that week. So we didn't go out. I and my kid was at home only from March 11th. We didn't even step out of the doors. It's been 40 days. I just realized today that it's been 40 days since I step out of my door. Dh will go for shopping once in 2 or 3 weeks to get groceries. We don't even get out of the house to go for walk.

I live in an apartment community. I don't have patio(balcony) in my apartment and we have only sun room. So I can't even stand out on the balcony. But in my community, ppl are going for walk every evening. And even during the day. Even a group of 4 or 5 walking together and also families walk with kids. I am just scared to go out and also to take kid out. We both are very low in immunity and DH is also telling us to stay indoors. We both catch cold often. Also, pollen count is more in .my state and it's pollen season. We are allergic to it. So just staying inside.
I am desperately waiting to walk in fresh air. When I see people outside, I really feel bad and jealous on them. Lol.
I used to open my windows to get some fresh air circulation inside. Only I am staying indoors or anyone staying indoors without stepping out? I asked few of my friends. Few of them are completely indoors like me. Few are roaming every weekend in the car for shopping along with kids. They are going to park and cycling etc. So, I am so confused whether I am restricting myself too much and staying indoors. I feel so claustrophobic sometimes. Hope this changes soon.
How do you all staying indoors? How do you overcome this staying in rented apartment?

We go for walks twice a day. I walk the dog in the morning and in the evening we take the baby out along with the dog for about an hour’s walk around the neighborhood. I go by myself to the grocery store once in 2 weeks. We don’t encounter many people and if we come across someone either they or we cross the road so we maintain distance. Every other Friday we have patio or porch parties with the neighbors.
As long as you wear a face covering, maintain distance and wash hands it should be possible to step out for walks.

    Hi,
Me n my kids didn’t go out in this 40 days. We bought grocery online. Last week first time we went for a walk in front of my home for few minutes. You can go for walk early morning when no crowd or late evening. U can make kids to walk in hallway in ur apartment when no one present.

Yeah. Planning to got for a walk in the evening. Early morning and late evening it's difficult. Because it's still cold here in the morning and late evening. By 10am it will be very sunny. Ppl started walking and goes till 7pm.
My hallway is not very big. 4 units in my building. 2 upstairs and 2 on ground floor. I am on the ground floor. There is a 4 step staircase after the parking. That leads directly to my door and other 3 houses have to cross my door everytime. All 3 house neighbors are roaming often. 2 couples in 2 units and one single American in one unit. So they used to go out very often throughout the day. So we are not opening the door at all. Have to find some way to get out and get some fresh air.

    Thanks for replying.
It's nice that you have patio parties. How does it happen? All gather in the patio and have fun time?

We sit on our respective patios and yell across the yards LOL! Patio for the neighbors on the same side, porch for those across the street.

Wow!! Amazing!! Own house is really good at this time to have parties of this kind.
Me and my DH felt bad that we didn't have a house here. It would be great at this time to have our own patio and garage. We were planning to buy a house this year and started our process in Feb. Wish we could have done that last year. Hope we will buy one after this crisis.

    Good luck with your search.
It's a great blessing to have a house at this time. I have started working on my vegetable and flower garden. We have been working from home and staying home since March second week. My husband go to nearby grocery shop once in a week or two. Not many cases in my county. Once in a while ,we go for a drive with kids. I like going for a walk with my dd in my neighborhood one or two times per week if weather is good. But, prefer to walk or work in my yard. It's an old neighborhood with lot of trees and land, so won't see anyone there on the road ,most of the time. I wish to go back to my work place. Its lot of work staying home (cooking plus other duties) and working full time. It is a challenging time for moms :(

If you are worried try to go for a drive first but stay inside the car. Then decide especially based on the number of cases in your area. I have noticed so many people outside, especially in stores, parks etc. Not sure why they are not taking it seriously. Be careful. Take care.

Yeah. It's really a blessing to have own house during this current situation. Anyways ,I hav to deal with it.
We didn't go for a drive too. In my county, it's 1200+ cases as of today. It's increasing everyday. But ppl are roaming everywhere. Traffic is asusual on the weekends and weekdays. Ppl are crowded in the parks and beaches. Governor has planned to reopen the businesses from Monday. I am in Atlanta.
