My son is 3 years 2 months old. He is having slight cold for past 4 months. He is having no big difficulties in breathing, but having running nose and the mucus is little thick, not very watery. We consulted his pedestrian 2 times in the past 4 months. He said it is normal unless he is having any difficulties in breathing or any other problems. He gave amoxicillin and cold syrup for a week. We gave him, but cold didnt go completely. Is this normal? I don't know what to do further. Please help.
I too faced this problem. The measures that I taken are: 1. Make sure that your child is properly covered and should not feel very cold temperature. 2. Kids eat food slowly. Even if we serve it hot it becomes cold while eating. Make sure that the foods temperature does not go down much. 3. Don't give him ice-cream or any cold thing. 4. While sleeping at night make sure he is properly covered. 5. Give him those things to eat that help develop immunity against cold. Like besan Ka halwa, besan Ka chila etc and add black pepper in his meal. Hope all this will work. This cold is normal but these few measures can help cure that.
Thanks a lot @messedup. We are living in the hot temperature place, so i just make sure that he wont sweat very much. For immunity, every day i m giving ginger+ajwain water(both boiled in hot water). I will also add 1 or 2 black pepper in his meal.
