Domestic Abuse Soars Globally Since Lockdown

Not surprising. Perfect situation for domestic abuse. The victim is stuck inside the four walls of the house. Her support system in the form of friends, family, colleagues are no longer accessible. The entire law and order system is also focused on the pandemic and domestic abuse helplines are also not as accessible as before. Add children to the mix and one becomes more helpless. Plus the abuser is with the victim 24/7 in the same house.

The county I live in, crimes and burglaries have gone down because everyone is at home. The only calls cops seem to be getting are related to domestic disturbances.

This is kalyug at its worst form.

 

Not the worst form unfortunately. It could also be due to rising unemployment, stock market falling and of course the confinement, perfect recipe for depression and violence.

2. I find mixed reaction with lockouts in homes of Nations across the Globe. Some say camaraderie much improved among family members.

3. Some say social distancing at home caused a wedge among couples working or not.

4. Some even prophesied in next JAN - MAY 2021, WHO would be analysing monumental reduction across globe in production of babies as figures of baby deliveries nose dived to alarming proportions & gynecs remain unemployed .
