My son spoke his real first word today( he used to say dadda but it was not meant for me) as we ask the babies to call me ‘papa’ and my girl calls me papa!! He is late in speaking his first word compared to his sister. I was asking my wife to be patient and giving lectures on how kids differ in developmental milestones, speech etc but she was convinced that he is developmentally delayed compared to his twin sister. In their 1 year appointment, she kept asking me whether we should ask Doctor on if we need to start early intervention ASAP. I was his strong advocate and kept saying no we should wait. The little bugger rewards my patience finally but his real first word with pointing is 'mamma'. Go figure, boys love their moms more than dads in most households and he proves he is no exception :)

LOL! That is so cute! The daughters make up for the mom-loving sons by loving their dads dearly! Nature balances everything. What was your daughter's first word?

I am posting after nearly 3 months hiatus. The company I work , instituted WFH policy since Feb last week. Wife has her university switching to online classes in the second week of March. Our twins nannies stopped coming since early March. I told them I will pay them till the situation improves to allow them to come back. We are managing quite well as I work for 5AM-9AM for 4 hrs and look after kids when my wife starts her work from 9-4 while I am keeping eye on my emails and instant group messages. I resume work from 4-8. 8 to 10 is when we couple spend time together. Weekends as usual are same as nannies didn't come in weekend.

I am thankful that in these tough conditions, we both have steady jobs with good paychecks. I hope that those who don't have financial difficulty also will continue to pay towards their maids/gardeners, and other service workers who don't have luxury like many of us.
