I always blabber something here in the name humour before I get to announce the winners of the Finest Posts of the month. I know I cannot afford that luxury this month. Everyone is serious. They read mostly about Corona. They skip the soaps on TV and watch intently about Corona. The septua and octogenarians gather in the lounge of the flats with a kerchief covering their mouths and discuss if Corona is the Kalki Avatar. These gatherings tell me that no one is interested in anything other than the virus. I take the cue. This must be the mood all over the world. Giving a running commentary to a current event in progress is easy. I have a friend who is an accredited expert in giving a running commentary of horse racing. Whenever we party in the club, we ask him to give a commentary of an imaginary race. As he raises his voice with the horses reaching the home bend, our pulse rate would become chaotic! But it requires a lot of skill to describe an old event. We saw that skill in the description of Ugadi Memories by shravs3. I have great pleasure in declaring @shravs3 as the Winner of the Finest Narration Award for her post Ugadi Memories Toby is her dog. Tobermory is the fictional cat that talks like humans in Chronicles of Clovis by Saki. The way Toby is described by its proud owner, my mind always goes to Tobermory. Srama does not blog. She reflects on various aspects of life that keep us enthralled. Her New Ways Of Being, Indeed! is yet another proof of her fabulous visualization skill. I have great pleasure in declaring @Srama as the Winner of the Finest Contribution Award for her post New Ways Of Being, Indeed! My hearty congratulations to the Winners and my sincere thanks to the proposers and supporters of the Winning Posts!
Congratulations to @shravs3 and @Srama for winning the finest narration and finest contribution for the month of March 2020 respectively. Shravs brought the old memories so clearly in the mind's eye and she relived those old memories so vividly. @Srama is an extraordinary writer and she not only relishes whatever she sees in her life but also presents it in a way, we could relish it.
