Just another day in my life…
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Come on Ayaan. Finish your breakfast. Your school bus is about to come." I told Ayaan and kept the tiffin box and water bottle in his bag.

Ayaan finished his breakfast and milk. I held his hand and came out of the house and stood near the bus stop. Ayaan saw his friends and they started playing. I saw around and Mothers of his friends who were discussing something related to the class project gave me a formal smile. I smiled back. They got busy again in their talks.

After a few minutes, the bus arrived and I kissed Ayaan and waved goodbye to him.

I came back home and poured myself a hot cup of coffee and sat in the balcony. I took a sip and felt refreshed. Since morning, this is the first time I got to sit peacefully. As soon as I wake up, I have to be with Ayaan until he left for his school. I enjoyed my coffee and finished my breakfast.

The doorbell rang and our house help came. She started doing her work and I started my work. I opened my laptop. 3000 likes on my last blog which I posted last night. There are around 100 comments and I started replying to them one by one. I opened my profile and saw around 500 people following me. I find the numbers are pretty good as I have started writing blogs just a month ago. Before that, I was working as an investment banker in a reputed Multinational company. I was handling a lot of international projects and clients and I hardly got time to think about anything else than my work. But 3 months ago my spouse got promoted and became Vice President of the company. The promotion comes with a lot of work and responsibilities. We both felt it would be hard to give Ayaan proper attention and care if we both will be busy in our work as he is just 3 years old and this is the time when he builds his foundation and learns and experiences a lot of new things. Someone has to be with him for proper direction and care. We didn't want to bother our parents as they have to leave their places and lifestyle just to take care of our kid which is ideally our responsibility. So we have to make a difficult decision which really felt difficult at that time but today it seems completely normal. I decided to take a break and resigned. My spouse was very skeptical and somewhere feeling guilty for this decision but I was adamant and assured that everything will fall in place gradually.

People were very astonished by my decision, suggested a lot of different alternatives. My parents felt bad and told me they would be happy to help and I don't need to leave my job at this point in time when my career is at its peak. But I assured everyone that I am happy and contented with my decision. And I was indeed happy and excited that I am going to spend time with my kid which I definitely miss while working. I even get time to explore different things which I couldn't get all this while. And that's how I realized my love for writing and I started my blog. First I started writing on the investment options for senior citizens and thought my experience will definitely help them. I started getting a fair response. But I don't want to restrict my writing only to that so I started writing on other topics including what I am learning day by day with my kid and how we both are exploring this world with each other's perspective. I know some of you might ask me what would happen if I felt bored or started missing my work after some days. This can certainly happen as we are human beings but thinking about something which could happen in the future and that too not guaranteed, I don't want to spoil my present which I am loving and enjoying every bit of it. In the beginning, it was all very overwhelming but today it is just like another day of my life which I thought to share with you all. I guess this is it for now as I have to go and pick my son. Me time over and our time started. :) But I promise to come back with my another blog very soon.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So guys hope you will like my this blog as you liked my previous ones and do share your comments, thoughts, and feedback as I would love to hear you all. And for those who are reading my blog for the first time let me introduce to you myself - I am Shaan, a cool and handsome Stay at home Dad of my darling son Ayaan and an affectionate and charming husband of my beautiful wife Ayesha.

I posted the blog and closed my laptop.

It began like just another story on daily grind by stay at home mom but produced a thrilling effect to the reader at the penultimate line . I enjoyed reading the simple sweet style in lucid language.
