    :hello:Thanks for sharing this video.
    2. Great to see this young man assimilated data for entire affected nations globally. What propelled him to do this? Phenomenal job for boy of his age.
    3. While I could make sense of the madam interviewing him, but had to strain to follow the boy who spoke @ some 100 miles per hour with heavy accent. So I watched this video three times .
    4. I check up at different times of the day for similar message from WHO website.
    Regards.

When children do a fine job, older and grand-parent'sy people naturally find it adorable. His fast talking was so sweet !! Not really fast talking for my firangi ears.

That child will be recruited by high-power software companies right away; they might even wait for him to complete his college education. So nice to see that video.

    https://www.stanforddaily.com/2020/...-students-cite-pressure-to-continue-lab-work/
As California “shelters in place,” graduate students at Stanford have reported feeling pressure to continue in-lab activity due to the power dynamic with their labs’ principal investigators (PIs) and widely varying interpretations of “essential research.”
    ..
“After the ‘shelter-in-place’ order went in, [principal investigators] (PIs) are still pressuring trainees to come into labs to do non-essential research,” said Kat Gonzales, a fifth-year earth systems Ph.D. candidate. “I have friends who feel really pressured and really vulnerable, and they can’t speak up.”

Not unique to Stanford. My friend's kid, a graduate student at another college in CA was summoned back to campus by his advisor who is a highly regarded and distinguished professor in his field. Prof. insists on in-person classes when the research and TA work this kid does can very well be done remotely.

My friend says all she can do is hope and pray.

Grad students have always been indentured labourers. It is a sad life; well-endured by foreign students who had already burnt many bridges to get there, and will have much to lose in ignoring instructions.

Thank goodness for the leadership at my institution. All trainees and graduate students have been banned from entering the premises for at least the next 2 weeks. Each group can have only one person at any given time to just maintain crucial studies. And they have set up a mechanism to anonymously report any faculty who violate these conditions.

It’s sad that US has the highest no of cases now which is not surprising as it was not taken seriously before.
