    True! : ) When my pati dev used a "LOL" (tears from eyes due to laughing so hard) emoticon in a chat for the first time, the fleeting thought 'is he having a mid-life crisis :confused:" did cross my mind. :lol:

    Not communicated that much through messaging apps when we are living together. Just a phone call to communicate and whatsapp message to send any documents, list of groceries, pics etc...
    I would send him long whatsapp msg only if I am angry and unable to communicate my feelings in person. But never got serious replies other than "I lve u :hearteyes:" - which I believe he copy & paste all the time. :rage:

    What I observed from the above posts are once kids are born or if you have been married for long then expect no replies from your spouse :disappointed::dizzy::expressionless:

    Chat with who? :thinking:
    We avoid each other as much as possible when out of the home. :biggrin:

    When unavoidable it is the phone ... old-fashioned phone.

    Because life becomes so busy after kids born. Responsibilities and other priorities occupy more space between that couple.:grinning:

    All the more why its necessary for couple to send each other romantic and naughty messages to keep the romance alive!not everyday but occasionally.. But it becomes futile when one makes the efforts all the time with no reciprocation from husband...it doesn't take long to type " thinking of you" or " missing you" and a smiley...or heart shape emoticon...would bring a smile to the face of the wife immediately....but how many men do that?
    * sigh *..

    I get an occasional "I love you" from DH. It is mostly once a week. Also, I know it is when he is stressed. Otherwise usually no reply for any messages I sent.

    May be some men aren't good at expressing their feelings through messages/emojis. Definitely men aren't as emotional persons as women.
