I never imagined that random people would go beyond "auntiji" in faux-relations. Calling the customer-lady Grandma is something the customer has to report to Amazon. Perhaps, there could be some apology-discounts in the complaint resolution. We used to think that auntiji is a "gimme" -- something that the amazon delivery guy could assume without repercussions. Gran'ma is surely worth a lot of apology points on future purchases. Whoever it was that got called "grand ma" should check this out.
hi all, I m so happy to read all above posts abt how gracefully 40's can be enjoyed .... I m new to the grp n going to be 40in next2 yrs just wanted to know do you also think of restarting earings or rather financially independent at 40s ……. many times this thought comes but don't know what to do? how to start?
Perhaps you should start a new thread to ask specific questions. State clearly which in country you would be a permanent resident when you are 40. What your plans are to be in the same country after that. Children and which stage of education they are in. State clearly what your goals are...about life after children leave home.
Thanks for the suggestions... I keep trying to practice... But somehow everything is so hectic, especially early mornings are crazy with cooking , home chores, looking after toddler and busy husband who is mostly too exhausted to help ...some days I follow some days I dont...no proper routine..of diet or exercise.. i just eat whatever is cooked for entire family and sometimes gulp down food quickly..trying to eat slower and smaller portions...with rotis it's easy to allocate..with rice, millet etc trying to keep a steel cup as approximate measure of quantity let me see if it works...my family members are foodies , lot of snacks in pantry.. very tough to diet in such a family envt..but I eat out only occasionally. I dont drink coffee.. I dont like it...I drink only tea..one or two cups mostly mid morning, or late morning and late afternoon..else I have millet based porridge or oats porridge with milk ...everything without added sugar... I have acne since teenage years.. oily skin...continued even after adulthood to now...sometimes it subsides and skin is clear...sometimes sudden breakouts..still have marks and a scars..depends on weather, food habits, emotional state etc...trying to drink water, avoid junk, minimize caffeine and stay calm...this should help with PMS and hormonal balance too..
I second you, one should not go on calling any woman they come across as ajji, paati, naani, daadi, aunty what not. A simple "madam" should do, or even "Amma", "memsaab" whatever. Don't add relationships just like that!
hii thanks for replying …. ya true u said abt starting new tread.it was just a thought came when I was reading all post in this tread.
We hardly meet anyone in person. It is all photos anyhow.... Tips for Middle-Aged Women on How to Look Stunning in Photos
I wonder the same too. Not exactly earnings because I am earning currently, but how to reinvent oneself, how to keep on going in career. Frankly, I never gave it that serious a thought when I was 25, but now it seems inevitable. Currently, the thought of going on seems intimidating, but not avoidable. I sometimes envy SAHMs but I know they have their challenges, at the same time, I feel I don't have the freedom that even they have. I am also at the receiving end of unkind judgements recently. Every woman seems to envy me, but the truth is, I have my own reasons to envy every one of these women.
