    To maintain hygiene
    1. Reduce intake of foods that cause indigestion.
    2. Avoid excess intake of certain foods such as meat, onions, garlic, exotic spices and drinks such as coffee and alcohol. These foods are known to cause body odor.
    3. Eat fresh fruits rich in Vitamin C instead of oily foods.
    4. Drinking lots of water helps in detoxification and cleansing effect. Luke warm water is better than cold.
    5. Clothing is an area many people overlook. Loose-fitting clothes allows the body to breathe better than tight clothes.
Try one or few of these remedies to reduce body odor especially during summers.
    • Pour apple vinegar cider into a spray bottle and use like a deodorant.
    • Lemon Juice is very effective to kill bacteria. Soak a cotton ball in lemon juice and rub it on your underarms and other odorous areas of the body.Let it air-dry to prevent body odour and take a shower or simply wash off that area.Repeat twice a day.
    • Apply baking soda on armpits and foot. It helps in killing the bacteria.
    • Add some rose water to a bucket of water you use for bathing. There is no need to use any deodorant if you do this regularly.
    • Apply rose water or tea tree oil on skin. These have antibiotic properties. Alternatively, mix Aromatic Sunninpindi/nalugu Pindi (bath Powder) with rose water and use as a body scrub.

Daily shower (twice a day in summer), keeping underarms free of hair and a deodorant is all I need. I do not use perfume on a daily basis as we are not allowed to wear it at work. Scents work differently for everyone so you should experiment to see what works for you. The ladies at the departure store cosmetics counters are usually happy to hand out samples if you go during off-peak times.
