    Hi,
I have been dealing with some knee issues for past 5 months and been to many doctors. All the doctors are saying it's inflammation and then it causes swelling. But I have taken ibprufen on and off and keeping on ice everyday.
Doctor prescribed heavy dose NSAIDs and told me to take that. They say it's inflammation and need more anti inflammatory. I am having inflammation in my hands too. I don't know how it all started. How to reduce inflammation from the body? What foods to take? And what we should avoid?

If you have any stress you need to resolve that first.About diet, first eliminate all outside food like biscuits, cakes, .Try to avoid acidity and eliminate tea/coffee for some time and check if you feel better. If you have tea, have raw tea with lemon/honey,some people are intolerant to milk products also. Try to avoid oily cooking like puri etc. Completely avoid sugar and maida - you can use atta, jaggery etc. Eat healthy whole wheat, avoid white basmati rice.Try to reduce non-veg and see if any effects.

Try having turmeric tea with a pinch of freshly crushed black pepper 1st thing in the morning for about 5 days.

Turmeric is known for anti-inflammatory properties and the pepper helps the body in absorbing the turmeric.

Also +1 for suggestions of @nakshatra1 avoiding processed food helps the body in healing faster.

    Hi,

This remedy, i have read online but not tried personally. Have read the testimonials too.

The fresh whole turmeric is used for treating inflammation /gout. You can google about " pasumanjal therapy"

What is the diagnosis exactly ?
Which doctors have you consulted for this problem?
    How old are you?
Orthopaedic specialists can only treat to a certaint extent..A rheumatologist can give you correct treatment for this prob...
    These symptoms seem like arthritis...
I know this because a person very close to me is also suffering from this condition of arthritis with painful do swollen joints..but different joint is affected....
Have you been tested for rheumatoid arthritis and associated issues like osteosrtritis, sarcoidosis, ankylosis spondylitis etc?Xray ? blood test? MRI?
What is this inflammation, And underlying cause, that needs to be pointed out...ibuprofen will only give temporary pain relief...NSAIDs heavy dosage are not helping you then you need a specialist consultation...
Natural remedies.. turmeric, fish oil ,elimination of processed food, healthy lifestyle etc ..fish oil , turmeric etc are available as capsule form also...of course natural remedies can be taken alongside only with correct treatment..

Is it possible for you to avoid milk products- they cause inflammation for many people. You can experiment and see if it helps you or not .If your condition is very serious, you can surely give a try by eliminating all milk-based products for some weeks.I heard of someone whose skin inflammation got cured completely on eliminating milk products. You can just try .
Also, for turmeric drink, milk s not a must.

    It started with knee pain
Long story..It started off in last September like knee burning pain and then a little swelling after a month. Been to orthopedist, PCP and sports medicine doctor.
Ortho did an x-ray,MRI. No arthritis. I am 34 years old. My patella(kneecap) has been moved a little. It's called as patella femoral syndrome. No other issues in the MRI. Started the PT. Done PT for 2 months. But no improvement in the burning pain and the swelling. Went for second opinion too. They say it's inflammation and that's why I still have the burning pain and swelling.
There's some inflammation in my hands too. It started 3 weeks back after I did some activity. Started off in the shoulder joint area, elbow area and after 2 weeks wrist joint too. Checked that with doctor. They say it's like tendinitis which is again the Inflammation. And now I have been prescribed NSAIDs(diclofenac sodium) heavy strength today. Have to try that. I usually avoid taking ibuprofen often. But they say I have to take it for atleast 2 weeks/10 days continuously.
I haven't consulted a rheumatologist yet. But there is no arthritis diagnosed. Only the Ortho issues has been diagnosed and physio therapy has been prescribed. I don't know how it all started. Will try the natural remedies along with the medicines.

Sure. I will give it a try.
But I have been taking milk products for years. The inflammation thing is very recent one. I don't know how it all started. Anyways, no harm in trying to avoid milk and see.

Its without milk.... Boil 200ml of water with 1/4 teaspoon of organic turmeric powder, crushed pepper 1/8 tsp and 1/4 inch crushed ginger. After about 5 mins filter and drink it warm on empty stomach.
