    hi everyone ,

i am looking for some good recommendations from IL friends here .
i want to buy some at home gym equipment that helps me work out at my time and convenience . Something reasonable , not very hifi or very expensive neither occupying too much space. my main focus is strength training to reduce my huge post baby belly . I feel treadmill and ellipticals or bikes become repetitive for me after a while and i lose interest.
Are things like below helpful ?

I look forward to your ideas . thank you.

Losing weight via strength training is the best way to lose fat.As per my experience no equipment gave best results until I started doing body weight training. This is what I used to lose fat/inches.

    1.An exercise mat
2.two sets of dumb bells (one heavy, one light).
3.An exercise DVD with cross training exercises (blend of cardio, strength training with weights and body weight training, abs).
    4.Exercise dress.
I also used Healthifyme app to keep track of my food intake.

    Good luck

I did not get a treadmill or other heavy equipment , I saw friends used it to dry laundry after the initial excitement wore off. I got a small rower that does not take up much space, is good for lower body workout and as well as for the arms. It is not as boring as a treadmill and with good Bollywood music, I can last a good 20 mins. 20 mins is plenty on the Rower btw.

I get rapidly bored with equipment such as treadmills. Peloton is nice but is way too expensive. What works for me is exercise DVDs with a mix of cardio and strength training. I do a different one every day and it keeps things interesting.

Thank you everyone for the suggestions . Am really sorry for coming back late to acknowledge.
I am also concerned about the equipment taking up considerable space and my ability to be consistent about it . But somehow I am not able to prioritize it yet otherwise going to the gym is not that tough , its quite close to home . I think I should first start with weight balls and see how far I can go . idea of getting some equipment at home has been in there for some time but i am afraid of my own inconsistency.
Any suggestions for some good videos or routines you people follow with weights would be helpful.

P.S : someone i know over heard a vibrating zaaz exercise machine is for 250$ at local costco , i went running and found it to be $2300 :fearscream::facepalm::yikes:

Try Jillian Micheals hot body healthy mommy workout to start with, then switch to her beginner shred and then finally her 30 day shred. Stick to her workouts for five days a week. All these DVDs are available in stores and online on Amazon. This will slowly increase your fitness level and help lose body fat (inch loss).Later or in between JM’s workouts to prevent boredom you can do some of Leslie’s power walk. They available on YouTube for free. This one is good
    Good luck!

Forgot to mention...add this drink to your diet. This is a prerequisite drink to have before exercising in order to feel light and have enough energy to workout without feeling weary and not get dehydrated.Mix a cup of hot water with 1 tsp of lemon juice,1 tsp of pure honey and a pinch of black pepper powder and have it on an empty stomach twice a day before exercising. Good luck!
