To have a stress free weekend, what are the routine you all follow. It could be a simple one may be in different way - what routines you follow to make the weekdays interesting. stress busters for weekends. etc
I am looking forward to the responses to this post. My weekends are always stressful, how much I plan ahead, I never get time to finish up the stuff I written down before the weekend. One thing I always accomplish is the cleaning and cooking for the week ahead. But I have tons of other stuff that I feel not attended. So i am eagerly waiting to see what others have to say about the weekend!
My idea of weekend is just being at home. weekends is our usual elaborate cooking day and prep ahead day, it is ok because I enjoy cooking and don’t feel the pain. but everything else only if I feel like ... I hate going out on weekends after a hectic week , just stay at home watch TV , eat , relax ....do what cleaning we can not over stress myself Visit friends or call friends for lunch dinner once in a while ..
Weekend plans generally is a mix of any or some of these.. “Netflix n chill” is the most favourite weekend activity Catch up on some extra sleep at times Trying out a nice place for brunch or any outings, cinemas or shopping Some cleaning Some elaborate cooking sessions Family friends getogethers Sometimes, weekend getaways
We finish all errands and chores during the week (not always easy) and save the weekends for outings, socializing and lazing. .
Nice thread... good answers. For retired people, they can tell that it is not a weekday by the general traffic noise outside. Some TV serials take a day off during weekends. Even though not much happens in any one episode, the lack of one throws the whole day out of kilter.
I have started listening to music while finishing all the boring chores. I recently read about a study on how meditation can help improve outlook in life. I am trying to incorporate that in my weekend routine. Kids and their activities don’t leave me with much time but Friday night is mommy’s TV time.
