I feel that its soo tough to find a good beautician in US. I lived in many cities and it has always been difficult to find one.

Even if I find a beautician, their services are not in par with what we have in India.

How do you guys manage the regular threading and body waxing. In India, i used to get waxing, facials, oil massages regularly.. but in US.. only after i see considerable hair growth and in extreme situations.

Anyone have any tips or solutions?

So true. I miss my Sundays in India! I used to dedicate it just for beauty parlours. That feeling itself is so relaxing.

I did facial only once in US and honestly dint like it. Even haircut I feel it’s funny. But eyebrows depends on the person who does it.

The worst of all is the waxing at some desi salons 2 people do waxing simultaneously which is the worst of all.
And they use such cheap clothes for waxing I directly asked them why are they using thick clothes instead of strips which is less painful than those thick clothes.

I have never tried American salon for haircut, should try next time

It is not useful to compare services in Asia (in any Asian country) to those in USA.
For those who live near ethnic enclaves (Chinatowns, Vietnamese, Hmong, or Hispanic neighborhoods), you can investigate, and tryout some of their establishments. Vietnamese have simply taken over the nail-salon business in USA, and they have also made progress in body massage and treatments. Tip well if you like the tryout; they will remember you, and try to do even better the next time.
Larger Mexican towns and especially resorts are also good places to try.

From long time I wanted to goto Chinese salons but I was hesitant.

There was one Chinese salon which was my goto place when I was in India.
Will try researching some good ones here!

I soo very much agree with the cloth strips.. they are irritating. The money they charge is not less.. then why show cheap tactics. Spending atleast $100 on waxing every other month for the worst service is soo unsatisfactory.

I do this. But i dont get the feeling of being pampered and relaxing. It feels like a huge task every week.

I do everything on my own except for eyebrow threading, as the cost for services is much higher here. The only thing I splurge on are haircut and color, and I go to a regular salon for that.

What baffles me is that we have soo many Indians living in US, some communities are full of Indians. But beautician services are soo less. How is everyone managing? In India, i dont think i ever skipped a month going to parlour.. here sometimes 3 months.. and because of facial hair dont even feel like going into crowds.
