Hi to all..right now am in 7th Mon of pregnancy and my in law saying am not suppose to lit the lamp in front of God at home ,my mom saying only not suppose to go to Temples after 6th Mon but can do daily Pooja at home..
I won't do daily Pooja at home bcoz am feeling bit tired and not able to concentrate on God if I sits Al's,so just pray the God and come out..but during festivals I used to lit deepam infront of God and recently during krishnastami my in law objected not to do...
My doubt is again Ganesh chaturdhi is coming, can I do that Pooja ,as we are from andhra we celebrate this festival with lot of poojas and reading stories behind this festival and others..
I know after 6 mons not suppose to do vratas but doubt in doing daily rituvaps..
If anyone is having knowledge on this plz share and clear my doubt..
    Thank you..

    Hi,
The reason why olden days it was said not to do any puja or visit temple after 7th month pregnancy is because
    1. Last trimester starts after 6th month so you will need to be careful. In most temples lot of stairs will be there to climb which makes pregnant ladies tired and also some may slip or injure themselves.

    2. To give adequate rest to pregnant lady in last trimester.

    3. Some pregnant women get allergic to smoke of agarbattis during long hours of puja. Hence itwas told pregnant ladies should not do pujas.

    Coming to your query...

Yes you can celebrate ganesh chaturthi. Just minimise it and make it simple.
Like ask your husband to sit in pooja. Cook only 1 or 2 naivedhyams as you can.
You can sit in chair and read the vratam book while your husband can perform the puja.

At the end, sincerity in your heart is important. God blesses people with good thoughts over people who want to show off to world of how grand they did puja.

    Hope this helps.

@PurpleRoses thanks for ur quick reply...
Coming to my husband..hr never do any Pooja nor help me in these rituals at home.. ofcource he trusts God but not much interested in doing poojas and praying God at home he won't do it ...if I insists he will just pray ...
Anyway finally God looks for sincerity in our Pooja rather than our offerings...
    Thanks for sharing
