    I nominate A Rainy Evening.... by @maya84
    A description of a girl out shopping on her own, get caught in heavy rains, suffers some difficulty in getting an auto rickshaw, and then finally gets one to go home.
    A clever use of the Murphy notion (if something might go wrong, it will) in the desi-mind to keep the reading audience on tenterhooks.
    A fine post.

    My first nomination for this month is

    A Rainy Evening...

    I loved the sweet narration by OP and enjoyed reading her confusion about the auto driver.

    Having stayed in Bangalore for years I know how some autowallahs behave. To find a good one is really a rare case!

    @Amulet
    Thank you for your nomination of @maya84 's A Rainy Evening... and thank you too @Anusha2917 for seconding it. It was indeed a delightful read and Maya has shown us how a routine Bengaluru rain and an auto ride could be so dramatized. As @iyerviji had remarked in her feedback, I too expected a sinister turn every second. Blame it on the TV serials I sit and watch all the time. The auto driver's lighthearted persuasion for an extra Rs.50 brought a smile on my face too. After lying low for over four years, Maya has burst into the scene with a delightful snippet. For a writer of such a caliber why was a hiatus of such a long period necessary?

    Mid month review
    This is mid July. we have received only 8 nominations so far. Sad you know.
    Only Viji has completed her quota of four nominations. The remaining four are shared equally by Amulet and Viswa.
    Thyagu and Anusha have seconded one each.
    There is a lump in my throat. Will it get dissolved?

    We all know incredible insights @sokanasanah adds to this forum through his unique teaching methods. When it is about children, he expresses his special interest in helping. I nominate his response below for the finest contribution to help a mother who is trying to get his child learn English grammar. You have already responded to OP in this thread.

    @ashneys response Activities - How Do You Handle is recommended for the finest contribution. Every parent struggle what are the right activities that child should have at each stage and she articulated so wonderfully about having a conversation with the child to find out what excites the child.

    @Greenbay
    Dear Greenbay
    Thank you for your nomination of @hermitcrab 's response to the thread Stressed Out...very Lonely
    She has concluded her FB with the words
    That says it all. We often face problems in life which can be sorted out only by ourselves. Asking for the views of others hardly helps us. She has earlier said
    What more can I say?

    His post did embarrass me when I looked at my own response to the thread. I certainly did not address the query raised by the OP. Soka has been as helpful as ever in responding to the OP.
    Sokanasanah, may his tribe increase!
