Thank you so much for the tip. I did try meditating with headspace and insighttimer apps but the problem is I am not consistent enough to see the result..I get bored very easily. How do you meditate normally ,by using any app or anything and at what time. Any tips on this would be of great help

    Hi,
What time does your kid sleep?
Have a routine for the kid too. It helps a lot!!
A typical bedtime routine should be like this. Bath dinner, story and sleep at 7.30 since your kid is 2 years. I followed this for my kid when she was 5 months and it worked wonders. She slept longer, I get good night sleep too. It takes a little while to establish (2-3 weeks, if you are consistent), but once you nail it, you will have some personal time. Spend sometime just for yourself, reading or watching something you like, you will feel a lot of positive energy.

Also, have a gratitude diary and write in it in the morning.
Just 5 things that make you grateful. It can be anything - as small as grateful for the kids smile. When you are specific rather than generic, it is really effective. Just like others suggested here, I support meditation and yoga. It works wonders!

I learned vippassana. It's very easy technique and u can practice any where anytime. Discipline routine and determination is very necessary. Think how, important it is for your health and your family also

    Thanks for reply.
My kid has very inconsistent sleeping routine.no matter what we do he stays awake until we sleep..he mostly will sleep between 11 to 12 and also gets up couple of times .I stopped breastfeeding 2 months back before that I was feeding him at night time. my sleep was badly impacted in these 2 years due to getting up couple of times throughout the night.
I am not able to find yoga class nearby and unable to decide which meditation technique would keep me.consistent.

Read about routines for kids - there are alot of books and online stuff available. Stick to the routine no matter what. When i say this, it involves, skipping late night dinners and hangouts and movies etc for you as well. I did like this, 6.30 - bath time, 6.45 - food - milk/ any dinner - 7.15 - a story in bed. Initially it took almost 1 - 2 hour to get my kid to sleep, but by 8-9 months she would fall asleep in 10 minutes. she is eight now and I have no sleep issues. When she used to wake up and cry in the middle of the night, I assured her I am here, but I stopped picking her up and holding her. It took a lot of work and willpower. Every child is different. But you just have to find what works for your kid.Whatever it takes to establish the routine, the earlier you start the better it will be. If he sleeps early enough, you will have time to relax.

As for yoga, you don't have to go to classes if you couldn't find it easily. There are a lot of you tube tutorials and paid apps or online classes which are easy to flow. Simple exercises like cat pose and other relaxing poses do not need a lot of guided attention. Check these channels - yoga with adriene and pickuplimes (this one had meditation, but this channel is more like a wholesome food and habits channel).

    Cheers!
