    It was well past midnight when there was a knock at the door. My wife got up lazily and made her way to the door to answer the knock. It was my daughter with her hubby and kids returning after a New Year eve bash welcoming 2019. It’s like yesterday and it is July already! Half of the year has already gone by! It looks as though time is trying to keep pace with our lifestyle. The second half of the year being lined up with all the festivals will move even faster and will make greater holes in our purse! Newspapers and magazines have already started screaming about ways to burn our money. People who say India is a poor country must watch it during the festival season.

    Let me stop rambling and come to business. It is time again to shoot off your nominations. Last July we had 19 nominations and if we factor in the current inflationary trend, we must get at least 25 this month. I am sure you will rise up to the occasion!

    Each member is allowed to nominate up to 4 posts only.
    This ensures that each of us have a hand in deciding the winning post as we will filter our choice more closely, thus making the winner more significant.

    The nominations will be closed on the last day of every month. Simultaneously, the nomination thread for the following month will be opened on the First day of that month.

    In case of nominating FBs, please remember to add a link to the FB and not to the original post.

    The following gives step-wise on adding links to your nominations –

    - To add a link to the original post that you are nominating:
    How to add a "Link" in my post?

    Since Vijiakka is not well and probably busy with her day to day life, let me open the account.

    I really enjoyed a remarkable article written by @HariLakhera The Rise And Fall Of Vedic Wisdom. This thought dominate my mind often about how the Vedic teachings would reach future generation unless it is packaged through modern gadgets and practical and logical experiences to be converted into wisdom. Nowadays, I work a lot to create such packages for the kids at the age of 14 to 17 years of age adding audio, video, practical experiences to make them understand the concept of non-dualism, right living, oneness of all, etc.

    This thread is remarkably written with keen interest to understand how rich wisdom would reach to the future generation filled with logic and material aspirations. It is unfortunate this thread didn't get much attention it deserves.

    Dear Viswa,
    Thank you for nominating my article. It is sad that Vedic wisdom is not getting its due in present day materialistic world. Partly our present day spiritual gurus are responsible for this. The good thing is that our Vedic culture has endured many onslaughts in the past and still survived. Thus we can be assured that it will survive till eternity.

    When someone on IL wins the FP award, they get that red welt under their moniker. It takes a couple of months to go away. The forum protects the winners from additional welts during this time of convalescence, no matter their continued indulgence in producing fine posts, & no matter how voracious they be in doing so.

    I nominate this post of @Novalis where she contends "voracious is what voracious does". A fine post.

    @Viswamitra
    My dear Viswa
    Thanks a lot for opening the account and saving my face!
    @HariLakhera has a mind boggling range of thoughts and a way of stating it in few precise words. I must thank you for your nomination of his The Rise And Fall Of Vedic Wisdom
    I liked his closing words:
    This reminds me of George Berkeley, Irish Philosopher of the 17th century. He declared that things existed only if they had an observer. He is best known for his motto, esse is percipi, to be is to be perceived.
    No classic ever fails to meet your eyes, Viswa!

    @Amulet
    Thank you for your nomination of Novalis' post in 100 Days of Positivity
    'that red welt under their moniker' stays for six months and not two months! Novalis is an amazing thinker and her vocabulary is superb. This post is another example of her prowess.
